Seven years of supporting, encouraging, learning, growing and celebrating the incredible children and families who have been part of our journey. 💛

To all our wonderful families and patients — thank you for your loyalty, trust and continued support. It is a privilege to walk alongside you, celebrate every milestone (big and small), and be part of your child’s journey. 🌈

Are you a mom or dad? Or currently expecting? 💛

We’ll be at the Flair Baby and Toddler Market this weekend at Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit and we’d love for you to come and meet the team!

Little Village Kyalami, Early Bird Therapy Centre and Earlybird Educare will be there showcasing what we offer for local families (from preschool, learning and development, to kids’ activities, paediatric medical services, The Hub and our beautiful community space) in Kyalami.

Come and enjoy a lovely outing for parents, moms-to-be, dads-to-be and families with little ones, with 100+ baby and toddler vendors, free talks, shopping, family fun and more.

✨ What is Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI)?

DMI is a specialised hands-on therapy approach used by trained therapists to support children with motor delays. By using carefully selected movement challenges, DMI aims to improve postural control, balance, strength and functional motor skills while supporting progress towards developmental milestones.

DMI is based on the brain’s ability to learn and adapt (called neuroplasticity – creating new neuronal connections).

Every child receives an individualised programme based on their current abilities and goals, and DMI is often combined with other therapy approaches to maximise outcomes.

👋 Meet Sarah Gledhill, one of our passionate and dedicated Speech Therapists at The Communication Club, Early Bird Therapy Centre.

Sarah is committed to helping children and their families develop meaningful, functional communication skills through therapy that is engaging, play-based, and tailored to each child’s unique strengths and needs. 💬✨

🎓 Sarah holds a Bachelor of Speech-Language and Hearing Therapy from the University of Stellenbosch and is dedicated to ongoing professional development. Her additional training includes:�• Fibreoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES)�• Malamulele Onward Practical Course on Cerebral Palsy�• Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)

🏫 Sarah provides therapy in a variety of settings, including preschool environments and our practice rooms, supporting children in spaces where they feel comfortable, confident, and ready to learn.

💡 Her areas of interest include:�• Early intervention�• Mainstream paediatrics�• Children with additional needs�• Feeding and swallowing disorders�• Supporting young children with communication needs

💛 Sarah’s approach is functional, relationship-centred, and play-based. She believes communication develops best through meaningful interactions where children feel safe, motivated, and supported. Collaboration with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams is at the heart of her practice.

Known for her warm and approachable nature, Sarah is passionate about walking alongside children and their families as they grow, learn, and communicate with confidence.

Introducing Sister Nombulelo Ndlovu💛

On this International Nursing Day we celebrate our wonderful practice nurse. Sister Nombu is a trained nursing sister with over 10 years of experience caring for women in both public and private healthcare settings.

Her journey has included working in high-risk and low-risk environments, as well as gaining valuable experience in gynecology wards within public hospitals, where she built a strong foundation in sexual and reproductive health.

For the past five years, she has been serving as an independent midwife, providing holistic, compassionate care to women through every stage of life — including supporting families with home births.

In addition, Sr Nombu runs a well-baby clinic where she administers scheduled infant immunisations. She offers both government vaccines and access to private vaccines when needed.

Her passion for supporting women, babies, and families is at the heart of everything she does, and we are proud to have her as part of our team. 🌸
