No single entity can close the NCD financing gap alone. To safeguard Africa’s economic future, we must mobilise private investment and capital markets through novel public-private partnerships.

Join Dr Ebere Okereke as she convenes a high-level dialogue at the World Health Summit Regional Meeting in Nairobi. What’s investing in health worth for Africa? 🌍

For our Area Head, Maturin Tchoumi, the answer is simple: Opportunity.

It’s often said that "health is wealth", but the reality is even more powerful. Between 2017 and 2023, breast cancer cost seven African nations $10.3 billion in lost productivity. That is a huge gap, but as Maturin explains in the video below, we have the chance to turn that loss into a surplus.

The logic is clear: when we invest in health, we aren't just spending money – we are fueling our continent's growth. For every $1 invested in early detection, $12 goes back into the economy. Plus, every new healthcare job created supports three more jobs in the community!

Through the Africa Breast Cancer Ambition (ABCA), we are working to help more women in Africa live longer, healthier lives after a breast cancer diagnosis – showing that healthcare is not a cost, but a catalyst for a more prosperous future.

on , Roche is launching Integration Accelerated to help maintain and increase that progress in a sustainable way.

By integrating TB and other critical testing onto existing HIV diagnostic infrastructure, countries can expand access, improve efficiency and strengthen health systems without additional investment.
