We have not been hunting for the last few weekends. Which has allowed me time to clean up relics. These are all on their way to Mount Ingwe Museum. A local Boer War museum. Well worth the visit. Cheers

I cleaned a few relics over the weekend. The hunting has been good and they build up quickly. These relics are on their way to the museum at Mount Ingwe, outside Uitenhage. I hope Lucas has space. 😁😁

Hi.

I found this lovely snake buckle on Sat morning. Doing some browsing it could possibly be from the American Civil War. If so, how did it end up here in South Africa amongst relics from the 1890's? Could surplus military equipment from the Civil War been used by British soldiers in the Boer War? Or maybe by the Boer? Interesting. It always amazes me what we find. 😁😁
