Let’s talk honestly about why we’re in the nail allergy pandemic we’re in, because this is only just the beginning!

We’re here because of:
• One-day courses that skipped core education and safety.
• Misinformation being spread online and treated as fact.
• Opaque, over-pigmented BIABs and gels being used incorrectly.
• At-home, untrained use of professional systems.
• Constant mismatching of lamps and products.
• Skin exposure and nail plate damage
• And a complete lack of consistency in education and standards across the board.

I could go on and on!

Today, I was hounded on Facebook by an “educator” so determined to blame Russian manicures for every allergy that she’s completely ignoring every other cause. Just like the Facebook forum that’s so hell bent on blaming ingredients alone.

Let’s be clear, we are in this situation because of huge, systemic failings. Decades of corner-cutting, complacency, and a refusal to evolve. While I sit quietly doing the work, researching, educating, and sharing knowledge, others are busy ripping me and others apart online.

But here’s what they’ll never understand, forcing education onto people who aren’t ready to learn is pointless. True education plants seeds, it doesn’t shout. My ripples will become waves, quietly, steadily, and powerfully.

I don’t have awards, big industry titles, or a shiny list of accomplishments to show off. What I do have are hours and hours of research, learning, and hands-on experience that I don’t need to brag about. Because results speak louder than recognition.

This industry doesn’t need more noise, it needs more truth, integrity, and willingness to evolve.
