Meal 1, Maria-E style.
Rice cakes, sliced chicken burger, tomato chilli jam and low-fat smooth cottage cheese.
When I look at a meal, I am not asking whether each individual food is “good” or “bad.”
I am looking at how the meal is put together.
Is there enough protein?
Is there an appropriate amount of starch?
Does the combination suit what you need from the meal?
And is it something you can realistically eat as part of an ordinary day?
That is how I approach food with my clients.
The goal is not to create perfect meals. It is to combine everyday food in a way that supports the result you are working towards.
