What does the number on the scale actually tell you?
Today we put Mari-Leen on the InBody so we could take a closer look at what’s happening with her body composition — not just her weight.
And the results are interesting.
Looking back at her previous InBody assessment, her numbers have changed from:
Weight: 68.4 kg → 63.2 kg
Body fat: 35.5% → 29.8%
Skeletal muscle mass: 23.9 kg → 24.1 kg
And there’s another number worth looking at: visceral fat.
Mari-Leen’s latest visceral fat level is 8, down from 13, giving us another useful measurement to track alongside her body fat and muscle mass.
That’s a 5.2 kg reduction in body weight, alongside a 5.7 percentage-point reduction in body fat, while her skeletal muscle mass has remained very consistent.
This is exactly why we like looking at body composition rather than focusing only on the number on the scale.
In the video, I take Mari-Leen through her latest results and explain what the different measurements tell us.
The InBody gives us data we can track over time, helping us see changes that a regular bathroom scale simply can’t show.
More InBody results coming soon as we show you exactly what this assessment measures and why it can be such a useful tool.
