My Sunshine
In the garden of my life, you are the sun,
Rising steady, radiant, unyielding,
Casting your warmth upon me,
So I may stretch high, seeking, growing,
To secure the future we dream of,
A future you nurture with every quiet sacrifice.
I have been drawn, so often, into work and books,
Yet you have been the keeper of our home,
The steady lighthouse in the storm of my present absence,
Ensuring Minato feels the fullness of love,
Filling the spaces I leave,
With your grace, your strength, your boundless heart.
I have known you as a girlfriend,
The girl whose laughter ignited my spirit.
I have known you as a wife,
A partner steadfast in every trial.
And now, as the mother of our son,
I see you in a new light a reflection of heaven’s care,
A vessel of God’s love poured so freely on us.
As we celebrate, on your 32nd birthday, I paused,
Not just to honor the years you’ve lived,
But the life you’ve breathed into our home,
The warmth you’ve given to our hearts.
I thank God, as Philippians 1:3 says,
For every remembrance of you.
You are MaNdwandwe, the heartbeat of our family,
The rhythm that keeps us in step with love.
As Amos 3:3 reminds us,
May we continue to agree and walk together,
Hand in hand, sun and sunflower,
Into a future God has blessed,
Where your love remains the light of our path.
Thank you for loving us,
For being our sun, our guide, our joy.
Happy birthday, my love, my life.
