So I was visiting a friend one day he shared a common problem
“ boi evil spirits visit me at night, especially when I leave the light outside my apartment off” I was like Go on.
“ they attack me to the point of me failing to move , shout or breath properly, it lasts a couple of minutes and it can even happen several times a day, I have to pray seriously for it to stop!” At that point I started smiling
He went on to say “ do you know that i spent 2 weeks sleeping in the day time instead of night for the same reasons the other year ?! Who did I wrong boi”
NO mate , your village people ain’t out to get you ! , well at least not yet 😉
🔴Does this sound familiar? Well before you tell us the tongues you use to make it go away, it’s actually a medical condition!
🔴SLEEP PARALYSIS! Yes .
🔵Sleep paralysis is a temporal episode of failing to or speak ,just before initiating sleep or just before waking up, most of the times while still being aware (conscious) with your surroundings .
It often comes with a feeling of and evil presence around you and sometimes Hallucinations!
It can be stoped by stimuli ( a touch by someone or someone calling you)
Sleep paralysis affects lots of people and I can bet you my phone right now,you have had it once or so, by the way, which prayer did you use ?
Anyway,sleep paralysis can occur in people with SLEEPING DISORDERS like narcolepsy, sleep apnoe or more commonly , otherwise normal individuals with poor sleeping habits and lifestyles
( STRESS, SHORT SLEEPING HOURs that are constantly changing in time , today it’s 19hrs Tomorrow you sleep at 01, electrolyte imbalance many more issues)
It mostly affects students and other busy individuals for reasons above.
If you having this problem, I still recommend prayer , but after your prayer , you might want to adopt healthy sleeping habits .
Sleep for 7.5 to 8 hours of night time , at the same time every day , go to bed naturally,switch lights off, phones light off, take up stress relieving habits - yoga etc, eat a balanced diet - with fruits , exercise and keep fit ! And oh , pray !
If your problem is severe , with day time sleepiness , hypnagogic/hypnotic hallucinations ,cataplexy and sleep paralysis, or any other issues to add on to this, you might wanna see a doctor to rule out sleep disorders.
