Your Life Is a Gift—Cherish It:

Acts 17:25
He Himself gives all people life and breath and all things

A gift is a meaningful expression of love from the giver. It is often carefully chosen, thoughtfully prepared, and sometimes costly. The giver invests money, time, effort, and sacrifice, because they desire the best for the one receiving it. Sadly, recipients do not always appreciate the value of a gift. Some minimise it, ridicule it, neglect it, or take it for granted.

God gave life as a gift to us. Yet, how often do we stop and thank Him for it? We may say, “It is my life and my choice,” but ultimately, our lives belong to the One who gave them to us.

One day, we will give an account to God for how we lived the life He entrusted to us. Cherish it. Live it gratefully. And use it to glorify the one who gave it.

Shalom.

Don't forget those who helped you

Philippians 1:3
I thank my God every time I remember you.

The song “All My Life You Have Been Faithful” reminds us of a powerful truth: God has been faithful. Whatever we have achieved and wherever we have reached, we must never forget that it is ultimately by the grace and faithfulness of God.

Remember those God used along the way. Firstly, our parents, whether our upbringing was easy or difficult, they played a part in bringing us into this world.

God brought—teachers, mentors, friends, pastors, relatives, colleagues, employers, encouragers, and even strangers. Some helped us when we had nothing. Some opened doors. Others simply believed in us when we struggled to believe in ourselves..

Take time to remember them. Thank them. Honour them. Pray for them. And where possible, bless them

Shalom.

Speak Well of Your Family

Psalm 133:1
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

Family is one of the gifts and assignments God gives us. We do not choose the family we are born into, but we can choose how we respond to and relate to the people God has placed around us.

Speak well of your family. Choose words that build rather than destroy. Do not allow past hurts, or differences to make you despise your parents or siblings. Instead, thank God for the family and trust that He has a purpose even when you do not understand everything.

Perhaps there are patterns in your family that you do not want to continue—division, anger, unforgiveness, bitterness, or unhealthy relationships. Be the one who breaks the pattern. Be a vessel of love, peace, forgiveness, and unity.

Shalom.

Sunday Devotion

Pray for direction, not just success:

Isaiah 48:17..I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.”

Many times, we pray to God for success. We come before Him with a list of our wants, needs, dreams, and desires. But sometimes, we forget one very important thing to ask for: His direction or guidance. He gives wisdom, ideas, opportunities, strategies, and the right people to help us fulfil His purposes.

When we do not receive what we prayed for, frustration can set in. We may begin to wonder whether God heard us or whether He has favourites. We may even compare ourselves with others who seem to have everything we desire.

So, as you pray for success, ask God to give you wisdom, reveal the right opportunities, and close doors that are not meant for you.

Shalom.

Don't give up because it's hard:

Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God goes with you; ...

If you know God has called you to something, or you are convinced that it is what He has created you to do, don't give up when the journey becomes difficult. Challenges are not a sign that God has abandoned you; they are often an invitation to depend on Him more deeply.

When the road gets hard, spend more time with God. Lean on Him, and receive His grace—the power He freely gives to enable you to do what you could never accomplish on your own.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged, don't lose heart, grow weary, or give up. Stay faithful, knowing that He who called you will also goes with you.

Shalom.

Unity pleases God

Psalm 133:1
How good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity!

God's desire is not merely for people to stand together, but for them to be united around His will and His purposes. True unity is built on humility, love, and obedience to God. We see this beautifully demonstrated in the early church, where believers were united in prayer, fellowship, and the mission of spreading the gospel. As a result, God moved powerfully among them.

When we put aside selfish ambition and pursue God's kingdom together, unity becomes a powerful force that brings blessing, strength, and lasting impact.

Unity that is grounded in truth, love, and faithfulness to God is pleasing to God.

Sunday Devotion

My heart says thank you again and again:

Psalm 103:2
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits.

When we look back over our lives, we can clearly see God's grace and faithfulness. He has sustained us, protected us, provided for us, and carried us through every season. Every blessing comes from His loving hand.

Today, let your heart simply say, "Thank You, Lord." You may not have enough words to express your gratitude, but He sees the sincerity of your heart. Sometimes the most powerful prayer is a humble and heartfelt, "Thank You."

May we choose gratitude over complaint and trust over worry, remembering that every good and perfect gift comes from God (James 1:17).

Shalom.

Sunday Devotion

Prayer is more than making a request

Psalm 46:10
Be still, and know that I am God.

Prayer is more than presenting a list of requests to God. It is a conversation with Him—a time to praise Him, thank Him, confess our sins, seek His wisdom, and quietly listen for His direction.

Too often, our prayer life becomes centered on what we want from Him. Yet God desires something deeper than our requests; He desires relationship. He invites us to know His heart, seek His will, and allow His Word shape our lives.

Listening is an essential part of prayer. It is in the quiet moments of God's presence that He brings clarity, direction, correction, encouragement, and peace. He guides us in our decisions, our work, our relationships, and every area of life.

As you pray learn to be still and listen.

Shalom.

Father's Day Blessing

Numbers 6:24–26
The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.

A godly father’s strength is not measured by physical power, but by his character, patience, and commitment to his family. Through his guidance, protection, support, and example, he helps shape the lives and future of his children.

Today, let us honor and celebrate the gallant fathers whose sacrifices often go unnoticed. Many carry great responsibilities for both their immediate and extended families, giving tirelessly out of love and duty. Though your efforts may not always be recognized by people, take heart—the Lord sees every act of service done wholeheartedly.

May God reward your labor, strengthen your hands, and fill you with wisdom and grace. May He bless you with long life, good health, and the joy of seeing the fruit of your faithfulness.

Happy Father’s Day!

Shalom.
