Last week, KHI launched the first ever MHM for adolescent girls in Sport at Rise and Shine Sports Academy.

Have you ever wondered how adolescent girls in football navigate menstrual health and hygiene while chasing their dreams on the field?

This month, Kambo Health and Urban Health 360 in partnership with Rise And Shine Football Academy is proud to introduce the FIRST EVER Menstrual Health & Hygiene (MHM) Club in Football!

Through this exciting initiative, young girls will be empowered with knowledge, confidence, and life-changing skills around menstrual health and hygiene, becoming ambassadors who will inspire and educate their peers in the community. 💪🏾✨

KHI trains GIRL UP in SMART Advocacy

Kambo Health Initiative (KHI), in partnership with UrbanHealth360, recently conducted an orientation session on Smart Advocacy for Girl Up Lusaka.
The session aimed to equip young advocates with practical skills to design strategic, evidence-informed advocacy initiatives that address key adolescent health and development issues.
During the orientation, participants explored the principles of Smart Advocacy, including identifying clear advocacy goals, understanding target audiences, using data and evidence effectively, and developing actionable advocacy strategies. The session also created space for young leaders, who are also medical students, to reflect on the issues affecting girls and adolescents in their communities and how they can use advocacy to drive meaningful change.
At KHI, we believe that empowering young people with the right tools and knowledge strengthens their ability to influence policies, programs, and conversations that shape their futures.
