Meet Mambwe,

Mambwe is an accomplished Physiotherapist with over 17 years of extensive clinical experience across the UK and Zambia. Licensed by both the Health Professional Council of Zambia and the UK’s Health Care Professions Council, Mambwe is committed to evidence-based practice.
Graduating with distinction from Sheffield Hallam University in UK, Mambwe excels in assessing, diagnosing, and managing complex neurological, musculoskeletal, women health, children neuromuscular conditions and many physical health issues. She has a proven track record of improving patient outcomes through innovative treatment strategies and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Mambwe has expertise in complex conditions affecting the nervous system including stroke, paraplegia, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and peripheral nerve injuries. Her comprehensive approach integrates motor relearning, Bobath techniques, manual therapy, neurodynamic techniques, neuromuscular electrical stimulation, and patient education to facilitate recovery and improve quality of life.
Mambwe also specializes in managing musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions including degenerative disc disease, lumbago, sciatica, post-surgical rehabilitation (spine, knee, hip), osteoarthritis pain, back and neck pain, posture issues, ligament and tendon injuries, muscle strains, tension headaches, and migraines. Her interventions include hands-on manual therapy, electrical modalities such as shockwave, laser, ultrasound, TENS, EMS, interferential therapy, dry needling (a form of medical acupuncture), thermotherapy, cryotherapy, and specialized cervical and lumbar traction for bulged discs and sciatica.
In addition, Mambwe has extensive work experience in children conditions, managing conditions such as Erb’s palsy, muscular dystrophies, fractures, post-burn rehabilitation, and postural issues in young adults. Her children treatments employ neurodevelopmental techniques, sensory integration, perceptual-motor therapy, muscle activation, joint mobilisation, gait and balance training.
She is also qualified in women’s health, addressing pre- and postnatal conditions like sacroiliac joint dysfunction, muscle weakness, diastasis recti, clogged duct in breast feeding mothers, and postural problems. Her geriatrics and palliative care experience focus on managing neurological and physical ailments in elderly populations.
