MOTHERS: THIS IS WHY YOU SHOULDN'T RUSH TO PARACETAMOL OR CALPOL EVERYTIME YOUR BABY HAS A FEVER!!!!!

A 7 month's old baby developed a fever. Her mother who was so excited about doing motherhood for the first time and had bought all necessities including baby Thermometer 🌡️ and Calpol checked her child and after realizing baby was having a fever decided to start her on calpol every 6hrs. She was very positive the fever was due to teething. There was no diarrhea, no cough, just a fever. After 2 days the baby became very weak and was breathing very fast. She tried breastfeeding but nothing. She then decided to take her baby to the hospital but guess what? It was already too late.

After doing some tests the baby was diagnosed with severe malaria and sepsis and despite the doctors doing everything they could the baby did not survive.
The fever wasn't the problem here, severe malaria was and in trying to help, the condition worsened quickly as Calpol masked the symptoms.

Important Message 🔻
Take the child to the hospital if the baby has
1. Fever for more than 24 hrs. You are better safe than sorry
2. Not feeding
3. Struggling to breathe
4. Is under 3 months with any fever

One thing I always tell the people around me is: find ways to multiply your money.

It's possible to be highly educated and still make poor financial decisions. A salary is important, but it shouldn't be your only source of income.

That said, I hope my fellow professionals took part in farming this season. 😜🌱

There is dignity in building wealth beyond your profession. Whether it's agriculture, investing, or running a small business, let your money work for you too.

Pride will never feed you. Diversifying your income just might.

Bisacodyl each time you fail to p00p? The dangerous mistake that could tear your instestines.
Everyday I see patients walk into pharmacies and say i want Bisacodyl, and when you ask questions they feel you just want to waste their time 'Just sell me I go', or if you are new in practice and someone mentions anything close to constipation then Bisacodyl, lol.... Here is when Bisacodyl would be dangerous for you or your patient. If there is
1. Vomiting
2. Abdominal Swelling (distension)
3. Inability to pass stool or gas
4. Constipation with worsening abdominal discomfort
The first thing you should suspect is the likelihood of intestinal obstruction and Bisacodyl should not be used as it is contraindicated. instead of you causing harm, refer the patient to the hospital for medical evaluation which may include intravenous fluids, imaging, bowel decompression or surgery depending on the cause.

A simple way to think of this is being in a busy highway 🛣️ now imagine there's a huge truck blocking the entire road. Would stepping harder on the accelerater make the traffic move? Of course not. More chaos would be created, Similarly, Bisacodyl stimulates the bowel to squeeze harder, which my cause severe pain and even a tear (bowel perforation)- a life threatening emergency

Bottom line: NOT every constipation needs Bisacodyl. Sometimes it needs urgent medical attention.

"Knowledge without action is just entertainment."

This is a quote I came across during my early morning walk today, and it really made me pause and reflect.

Most of us spend so much time acquiring knowledge. We read books, watch YouTube videos, listen to podcasts, and attend seminars—but we never do anything with what we've learned.

We read about self-love, yet we still struggle to love ourselves.

We listen to podcasts about setting boundaries, yet we continue to tolerate disrespect.

We study how to become better students or professionals, but we never consistently apply the strategies we've learned.

And when it comes to financial management? Many of us know exactly what we should be doing, but we still don't do it.

The uncomfortable truth is this: the moment we stop at learning and never take action, that knowledge becomes nothing more than entertainment.

Knowledge only becomes powerful when it changes the way we think, behave, and live.

So here's my question:
