The 3rd Annual Employee Wellness Convention (AEWC 2026) was a success.
This year, we intentionally moved away from creating another conference and instead created a space where people could simply be.
Throughout the day, our speakers shared not only their expertise but also their humanity and vulnerability.
Some of the key reflections that stayed with me:
leeannewellnessexpert reminded us that while work will continue and positions will eventually be filled, our well-being is our personal responsibility. Wellness starts with us.
Mzondo challenged organisations to move beyond performative wellness. If wellness matters, it should be reflected in organisational priorities, plans, and budgets, not just once-off events.
Gloria Zvaravanhu encouraged us to allow ourselves to be human and to draw strength from that humanity rather than constantly feeling the need to have it all together.
Tinago reminded us that in an age of AI and rapid technological advancement, we must continue to nurture the things that make us uniquely human, empathy, connection, creativity, and emotional intelligence. He also highlighted the importance of intentionally stepping away from our gadgets as part of holistic wellness.
We also heard practical workplace wellness insights from organisations such as Zimworx.
To our speakers, thank you for sharing your wisdom and your stories.
To our Director of Ceremonies andy , thank you for steering the ship with such excellence and warmth.
To Coach Tapiwa Chimbadzwa , thank you for getting us moving and energised through Zumba.
To Team Exhale & Recharge, thank you for the countless hours behind the scenes that made the day possible.
A special thank you to our partners:
likusi_healthy_living, podium_distribution, ’s, Travel, Ranch, and Zorai.
treyimages_ , thank you for capturing the spirit of the day so beautifully.
And to every delegate, partner, speaker, exhibitor, and supporter who made this gathering possible, siyabonga. Thank you.
See you at AEWC 2027. Diarise 28 May 2027.
