When is the last time you really laughed? One of those deep belly laughs where the fact that you are laughing makes you laugh even harder? Where the tears begin to well up in your tears and stream down your face and your stomach starts to hurt?

Laughter is medicine. It is good for the soul.

Lowers stress hormones
Boosts Immunity
Relaxes your muscles
Decreases Pain
Stimulates your organs
Enhances our intake of oxygen

I have actually realized in the last few weeks that sometimes laughter can be triggering for me. When others laugh I sometimes think, what is so funny?? There is so much to do, NOTHING IS THAT FUNNY!! We have ish to get gone, lets go!

So I have been working on letting myself laugh more. Letting myself relish in those moments of joy. My yoga teacher used to say in class that joy is the most suppressed emotion. Why do we do that as humans? Make ourselves so busy and everything is so urgent that we don’t take the time to let ourselves be in the joy??

And then this last week I had one of those laughs…the kind that takes over and just keeps coming…and it FELT SO GOOD!

So lets look for THOSE moments, where we can give ourselves over to the laughter, to the joy and experience the BLISS

You already know exactly what you need. It’s just about pausing to go inward and listening for the answer.

In this pose we cleanse and connect with the kidneys. The kidneys are our will and our wisdom. We clean out our prenatal jing - our karma that was passed onto us from our parents and family history, we cleanse it and let it go. Allowing ourselves clear connection to our wisdom.

Our pose today is Seal. Come laying on your stomach with the tops of your feet mat distance apart. Bring the hands slightly wider than the shoulders and slightly in front of the body. Ground through the hands as you extend the arms long. Keep a slight bend in the elbows and relax into the pose. Set your timer for 5 minutes. Breath into your kidneys. Connect with your inner wisdom. Allow yourself to see clearly your next aligned step in moving toward your purpose in life. Exhale any fear or anxiety holding you back and imagine yourself stepping into your wisdom.

After 5 minutes, stay connected to this feeling as you lower down back to the belly, transition to sit back on the heels, taking a few centering breaths before opening the eyes.

Comment and let me know how it went!

In this pose we focus on the lungs. The lungs are the organ of letting go. Lungs is where we store suppressed grief. So, here in Sleeping Star we give the lungs the opportunity to expand and open. To release and let go.

To come into the pose bring the soles of the feet to touch with the knees bent. Place a block (or a stack of books or anything else block height) on the feet. Bring the bolster(or pillow or cushion) between the legs and rest it on the block. Allow the body to come forward onto the bolster. Feel free to stack a second block (or more books) on the feet until the bolster is at a comfortable height. Tuck the chin slightly toward the chest so you are able to breath through the nose. Bring the hands with palms facing up, outside of the feet. Set the timer for 5 minutes.

Relax into the pose. Focus on letting go of any tightness being held in the body. Let go of any emotion or hurt you have been holding on to. Allow the lungs to expand and release all that is holding you back from stepping into your soul purpose.

Once the timer goes off slowly plant the palms of the hands and lift up with a straight back. Take a few breaths sitting up before fully transitioning out of the pose.

Have a light and beautiful day ♡
