El-Salhat, MD, MBA, FACS, FRCS (Glasg), is a consultant surgical oncologist, currently serves as the Medical Director of the oncology service line in Al Noor group, chair of surgical oncology, and chief of surgical departments in Al Noor Airport road. Interested in soft tissue Sarcoma, GI, Pancreatic surgery, & breast Oncoplastic surgery. He last served as the Chief of Surgery, and Surgical Oncolo
gy, Tawam Hospital United Arab Emirates. The Hungarian board of General Surgery certifies him, as well he carries the Full registry of the specialist of G. Surgery, GMC of the UK, and by the European Board in General Surgical Oncology and Breast Surgery. He is currently one of the few surgeons in the AbuDhabi emirate who perform laparoscopic oncological surgery with a special interest in laparoscopic colorectal surgery. He is a known speaker both at a local and a regional level, with a special interest in rare malignancies (GIST, NETS). He is the founding member of the Cancer Committee in Tawam Hospital. Dr. El Salhat is also involved in academia and teaching and has multiple Grants in research in Oncology, he is an adjunct associate professor of surgery in the UAE University Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences He sits on multiple advisory boards involved in Oncology care.
