Business in Beijing, one conversation at a time 🤍
This trip has been about reconnecting with old friends, meeting new people, exchanging ideas and exploring new possibilities.
I’ve always believed that the best business relationships begin with genuine conversations. Sitting together, sharing ideas, listening and learning from each other — this is often where the most interesting opportunities begin.
And, of course, my Nailaddict nails came with me. 🤍

The hardest person to make time for... is often yourself. 🤍

We're so busy looking after everyone else.

Our family. Our work. Our friends. The never-ending to-do list.

Somewhere along the way, we forget that we need looking after too.

Yesterday, I slowed down and spent the afternoon at Maison Devoille in Dubai. No rushing. No phone. Just beautiful food, wonderful company, and a reminder that taking time for yourself isn't selfish—it's essential.

We spend so much of our lives waiting for a "special occasion" to enjoy moments like these. But maybe today is the occasion.

Fill your cup. Celebrate the ordinary. Create memories. Because when you look after yourself, you show up better for everyone else.

I was about to lose a customer... and it would've been my fault.

Not because our nails weren't good enough.

Not because she didn't love our brand.

Because life happens.

A courier was delayed, and her order wasn't going to arrive in time.

I could've apologised.
I could've blamed the courier.
I could've asked her to wait another day.

Instead, I got in my car.

Because when someone chooses to spend their hard-earned money with us, they're placing something even more valuable in our hands...

Their trust.

So I drove across Abu Dhabi and delivered her order myself.

What started as a small Nail Addict pop-up became something much bigger.

Yes, there were nails.

Yes, there was coffee.

But what we loved most was watching women connect.

Conversations between strangers.

Friends introducing friends.

Business owners supporting one another.

Women taking time out of their busy lives to simply sit, chat, laugh, and enjoy being around other women.

In a world where so much happens through a screen, there's something special about meeting face-to-face.

Building relationships.

Sharing experiences.

Finding common ground.

That's what these events are really about.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped create such a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
