Your body might not need calming.
It might need completion.
I’ve been watching the birds on my balcony.
When I move closer, they don’t resist.
They drop.
A free fall.
And then… their wings open.
And it made me question something.
Because in the wellness space, I keep hearing:
“Reset.”
“Calm down.”
“Shift your state quickly.”
What if constant resetting is not regulation…
but interruption?
What if we are teaching the body
that its natural response is wrong…
that it cannot be trusted…
that it must be overridden?
Over time, that does not create safety.
It creates suppression,
and eventually… shutdown.
The body does not need to be rushed into calm.
It needs to complete what has been activated.
The bird does not reset mid-air.
It allows the fall, and
In that allowing,
the wings open.
Calm comes after,
Not before.
Your body is not working against you.
It may simply be asking to finish what began.
If this speaks to you, you are welcome to experience this work with me.
