This “getting excited to do stuff just before you sleep only to wake up feeling dead on motivation” is making you want to scream.

Because you’re doing ‘everything’ to optimise your performance:
💀 You’re getting enough sleep
💀 Your brekkie is protein-rich
💀 You move your body regularly
💀 You’re doing the mindset work and nervous system regulation

Two hard truths:
1. What you’re doing can only get you to the starting line (where you know what you want to do). But these strategies won’t help get you over the obstacles to the finish line.

2. ‘Breaking your goals into smaller steps’ or ‘brain dumping at night’ will not give you the focus you’re looking for.

“So, you’re humblebragging about being a coward?” I replied.

She blurted out “You didn’t hear me! I overthink because I’m smart! I think things through instead of acting impulsively!”

You decided and simply moved.

Naming that stillness-induced fizziness ‘anxiety’

That’s when your cortisol and inflammation ramp up
causing a decline in your digestion,
+ a shift in thyroid hormones and insulin function.

Besides health complications (like back, neck, and jaw pain), you’ll also end up:

What gives this away is…
… the Sunday dread (when you used to love Mondays)
… the vision that feels further away than it did two years ago
… the version of you who has three on-fire days and then freezes for five days

OF COURSE you’ll feel like your nervous system is fried.
