Meridians and fascia connection in Qigong 🍃

🔸 Meridians are like rivers that flow into the lakes and oceans, which are our organs. These are the pathways through which the Qi energy flows. In Chinese Medicine, it is believed that all illnesses arise from imbalance and stagnation in our meridians. This is similar to when the river blockage occurs in nature and this cuts off the oxygen and energy supply to the organs. To break through this stagnation, we need to create a pulse of energy by coordinating breath with intention and movement.

🔹 Fascia is the dense fibrous connective tissue that interpenetrates and surrounds the
muscles, bones, organs, nerves and blood vessels of the body. It is a biological fabric that holds us together. When Thomas Myers discovers these previously unknown lines of muscle fascia and compared them to meridians, these lines were mapping to the meridian maps in Chinese medicine.

💫 It was also discovered that fascia generates electrical charges that can be measured through winding and unwinding - and in meridians we talk about Qi energy that is generated through coiling and uncoiling. Also emotions and trauma can be stored in fascia creating knots and kinks - and in Chinese Medicine we talk about blockages that are built in meridians.

All of this shows that science is finally catching up to what was known and believed in for thousands of years in Chinese Medicine and fascia and meridians are not some entirely different things.

In White Tiger Qigong we deeply work with our meridians and fascia, that is why the forms are so dynamic because we want to create a powerful pulse of Qi to break through these blockages in our meridians and create lasting changes in our fascia 💫

In Qigong that I’m teaching we have 3 main focuses (stages) of why we practice it: Healing, Transformation and Achieving our Maximum Potential ☀️ And these focuses we bring into our everyday life, because when practice becomes your life, you live it’s principles as well. And on the opposite, when you already have strong beliefs and principles, you choose the practice that aligns with them. Because there is no separation.

So in both, Qigong and my daily life, I heal myself and others, I transform myself and my life and work on reaching my maximum potential 💫

Qigong as a key to a long and healthy life 💫

Qigong is an ancient Chinese practice that helps us to tap into our inner power and gives us tools to work with our life force energy to cultivate it, circulate it through our channels and use it for our health and vitality 🍃

🔸Qi means Life force energy
🔹Gong means refined skill

And when we put these two words together, “QiGong” means a skill of working with our life force energy 💫

As in ancient times, in modern times, scholars, royalty and the elite want to reach their maximum potential 🌟 They practice Qigong to explore the depths and capabilities of the human body, mind and spirit. They want to know what their maximum human potential is. From maximizing brain power, health and vitality to more extraordinary capabilities like telepathy, remote viewing, control of the nervous system, body temperature control, breath control and more. Some call Qigong an ancient form of Biohacking as it helps to explore what you are capable of 😌

In Qigong we work with the 3 harmonies: Body, Breath and Spirit. Synchronizing our spirit and intention with the breath finally coupled with the movement is what makes Qigong, Qigong. Without the intention Qigong is just an exercise. Apt only these 3 harmonies practiced as one create that powerful healing energy that breaks through blockages and stagnation, filling our organs, releasing the toxins, healing pains and cultivating our life force energy.

And I want to finish this post with a quote by master Lu Zijian, who was a famous martial artist who died in 2012 at the age of 118. When asked what his secret to longevity is, Mr. Lu said, "The key to a long and healthy life is a combination of movement and stillness—cultivating life by guiding the qi, the vital energy in the body, and moving the hands and feet through practicing Kung Fu." 🎋

Today is the World Qigong Day 🌟 This practice has been a part of my life for almost 6 years now and what a journey!

I love Qigong, it’s very unique healing forms, the way how it flows, it’s connection to nature, to spirit, uniting everything in one, being in the moment and focusing inwards. And what I love more is to teach it, sharing it with my students fills me up with energy every single time. I came across Qigong by accident (although there are no coincidences) and it became a part of my life, my journey, my work that I absolutely enjoy.

Our body, just like the universe, is made up of 5 elements:

🔥 Fire
💧 Water
⛰ Earth
🌳 Wood
⚙️ Metal

Certain elements usually dominate, while others are lacking. When we practice Qigong, we can balance these elements in our body and oftentimes your body helps you to choose the forms that you resonate with or need the most. I personally don’t have enough metal and I love all the Tiger forms 🐯 that embrace this element.

Other times your body can resist some forms and then you really need to look into that. If you have a lot of unreleased grief, for example, you might resist Tiger forms because on a subconscious level you are scared to go there and work with all these emotions, it can be hard but this is exactly why you should do it.

This resistance or urge to do certain forms can also just happen on certain days, so look into that as well. Qigong teaches us to constantly listen to and learn from our body. So begin to observe your relationship with different elements every single day and see where it brings you 🌟
