For years, I had healing all wrong.

I thought I needed to add more.

More supplements.
More research.
More routines.
More ways to fix myself.

But I didn’t realise that my body was still living on high alert.

And when your body is constantly trying to protect you, it doesn’t have the space it needs to heal.

That’s why safety has to come first.

I’m learning to slow down, breathe, pray and remind my body:

“You are safe. You don’t have to figure everything out today.”

Because healing can only begin when the body finally feels safe enough to let go, rest and repair.

Save this for the days when healing starts to feel like another thing you have to work harder at. 🤍

We’re so quick to silence pain… but what if we listened instead?

Sometimes, it’s actually our body trying to communicate with us.

And the thing is, it usually starts really quietly. Maybe you’re more tired than usual, you’re not sleeping well, you feel tense, or something just feels off.

But because life is busy, we push through. We tell ourselves we’re fine and just keep going.

Until that little whisper gets louder.

I’ve learned to stop asking, “How do I make this go away?” and start asking, “What is my body trying to tell me?”

Of course, pain and persistent symptoms still need to be properly checked. But I also think there’s something powerful about learning to listen to our bodies instead of always fighting them.

Sometimes your body isn’t working against you.

It might actually be trying to protect you. 🤍

Listen to the whisper before it has to scream.

Save this as a reminder to listen to the whisper before it becomes a scream.

Did you know there are simple ways to help regulate your nervous system? 🤍

If you’ve been here for a while, you know how passionate I am about this. As someone healing from autoimmune thyroiditis and endometriosis, nervous system regulation has been one of the biggest game changers in my journey. More than diet, supplements, or workouts, I’ve learned that when the body feels safe, it functions differently.

Here are 5 simple hacks I come back to almost every day:

🤍 Slow belly breaths. A few deep breaths (belly should rise) with a long extended exhale while relaxing your shoulders and jaw. You’ll be amazed at how much tension you’re holding, unnoticed.

🤍 Slow down. When I catch myself chewing fast or multitasking, I intentionally slow down my pace. Rushing tells your brain you’re in danger. Moving a little slower reminds your body you’re safe.

🤍 Use a calming scent. I love using essential oils as a cue to pause, breathe, and reset.

🤍 Stop checking your body all the time. Instead of feeding every anxious thought, gently return to what you’re doing and trust your body. Ex. If I’m in front of my laptop doing something and an automatic negative thought pops, I simply return to what I’m doing and just observe. Most of the time, it’s just a thought.

🤍 Speak God’s Word out loud. His truth is always louder than fear, and that’s where I find the deepest peace.

Healing isn’t always about doing more. Sometimes it starts with slowing down and remembering you’re already safe in God’s hands. 🤍

Which one will you try today? I’d love to know.

The healthiest thing I’ve learned wasn’t how to push harder.

It was how to feel safe.

For years, I thought healing meant ignoring the pain, pushing through the exhaustion, and feeling guilty whenever I slowed down.

Now I see it differently.

A regulated nervous system isn’t built by constantly proving you’re strong.

It’s built by choosing peace over pressure.
By listening to your body instead of fighting it.
By trusting that God is still working, even in the slow seasons.

Maybe your body isn’t holding you back.

Maybe it’s lovingly guiding you toward the life you were never meant to rush through.

Sometimes slowing down isn’t losing momentum.
It’s where healing, faith, and real growth begin. 🤍

Save this for the days you need the reminder, and send it to someone who’s been carrying too much.

I’ve been wanting to start this for a while, so here we are. 🤍

Welcome to Tuesday Reset.

Every Tuesday, I’ll be sharing one simple habit that’s helped me regulate my nervous system, grow in my faith, and be more intentional with my wellness.

Nothing complicated. Just one step at a time. Take what helps and follow at your own pace. 🌿

Today’s reset is one of the simplest… and it’s completely free.

For the past few months, my husband and I have made it a habit to step outside every morning, soak in a few minutes of sunlight, and take a few slow, deep breaths before the day gets busy.

It’s such a simple practice, but it’s been one of the most powerful wellness habits we’ve built.

☀️ Morning sunlight helps regulate your body clock, support healthy energy levels, and improve your sleep.

🌿 Slow breathing tells your nervous system, “You’re safe,” helping your body shift from stress into a calmer, more restorative state.

And for me, the greatest reset is remembering that I don’t have to carry today alone.

God has already gone before me.

One breath. One prayer. One peaceful morning at a time. 🤍

Save this as a reminder to choose peace over pressure.

After my surgery, I had to completely rethink what I was putting in my body.

I didn't want to just recover. I wanted to heal, properly, from the inside out.

That's when I started looking into what was actually driving inflammation in my diet. And I kept coming back to one thing: the fats I was eating daily.

Most nut butters are loaded with omega-6. Macadamia has almost none, just 0.4g vs 10.8g in walnuts. That's not a small difference. That's a completely different impact on your body.

I've been making my own ever since. 3 ingredients. 10 minutes. Zero seed oils, zero additives.

Swipe through to see the signs of inflammation I was ignoring, the full omega-6 comparison, and my exact recipe.

Save this one. Your future self will thank you. 🥜

Ever feel exhausted from trying to hold everything together?

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized that healing isn’t about controlling every outcome. Whether it’s hormone health, chronic illness, finances, motherhood, relationships, or simply navigating life’s uncertainties, I’ve spent years believing that peace would come once I had all the answers.

But God keeps reminding me of something different.

Peace doesn’t come from having everything figured out.

It comes from trusting Him, even when I don’t understand the process.

Even when the timeline doesn’t make sense.

Even when the answer feels slower than I’d hoped.

One prayer.
One step.
One day at a time.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” — Proverbs 3:5

Moms, you’re going to miss this.

Not the big moments. The small ones.. the messy kitchen, the toys scattered around the house, the child calling your name for the 100th time today.😆

When I was pregnant with Yaffy and working full-time, I used to pray for more moments like these.

Not because one path is better than another. Every family’s journey is different.
But deep in my heart, I longed for more time.

More presence. More connection.
More opportunities to witness her childhood as it unfolded.

Now, in the middle of these ordinary days, I sometimes catch myself thinking:
“God, these are the moments I used to pray for.”

Homeschooling hasn’t just given us the curriculum and flexibility.
The days can be messy, repetitive, and far from picture-perfect.

But it has given me something I can never get back once it’s gone:

Time.

Time to listen.
Time to notice.
Time to laugh together.
Time to watch her learn, grow, struggle, try again, and slowly become the person God created her to be.

One day, this season will be over.
And I have a feeling it won’t be the big milestones I’ll miss most.

It will be these little moments that quietly became our life. ❤️

Can I be honest, mama?

Some days, carrying all the things feels heavy.

You’re taking care of your health, your family, your home, your children, and somehow still trying to show up with faith and grace. By the end of the day, you’re running on little more than God’s strength.

For the longest time, I thought rest had to be earned. That I needed to finish everything first before I could slow down.

But God has been gently reminding me that rest was always part of His design.

Lately, healing has looked less like doing more and more like:
🤍 Going to bed a little earlier
🤍 Taking a slow walk
🤍 Nourishing my body well
🤍 Whispering, “Help me, Lord”
🤍 Giving myself permission to pause

Friend, your worth is not measured by how much you get done.

Rest isn’t laziness.
It’s stewardship.

And sometimes, the most faithful thing you can do is slow down and let God carry what you were never meant to carry alone. 💛

Save this for the day you need the reminder, mama.

I was dealing with inflammation, hormone issues, poor sleep, and feeling overwhelmed, which I guess was my body’s way of saying “Welcome to your 30s!”

When I started reducing my toxic load and supporting my body more intentionally and naturally, these oils slowly became staples in my routine. (Not sponsored. Not affiliated. Just sharing what I personally use and love. 🤍)

🌿 Magnesium Oil
The one for sore muscles.
I spray it on my shoulders and neck whenever I feel tight or tense.

🌿 Kshirabalam Thailam
The one for better sleep.
A few drops massaged onto my feet before bed helps create a calming nighttime ritual.

🌿 Castor Oil
The one with a cult following for a reason.
I use it as a castor oil pack at times but most of the time I just massage it all over my abdomen or add few drops onto my navel before bed to support lymphatic flow and overall wellness.

🌿 Dhanwantharam Thailam
The one that feels like a RESET button.
I love using it for a daily full-body massage and especially when my nervous system feels overstimulated. It’s like a calming morning ritual for every woman.

🌿 Jojoba Oil
The one that’s basically skin food.
I use it as my daily lotion, ditching the chemical ones I used before because it closely mimics the skin’s natural oils.

Sometimes wellness isn’t about adding more.

Sometimes it’s about returning to simple things that have stood the test of time.

Which one would you try first?
