With almost 17 years experience as a Physiotherapist with a specialization in Bowen Therapy and TMJ issues I have a deep passion to help people out of their pain. By combining conventional physiotherapy and Bowen Therapy I have seen wonderful results and we can optimize the healing process. It is all about helping the human body to heal itself. JAW PAIN and tension, headaches and neck stiffness can all be related to the Temperomandibular Joint.

Symptoms can include:
👉A clicking or popping jaw with opening, yawning or chewing.
👉Unable to open wide
👉Pain on the side of the face radiating to the temple, lower jaw, eye and back of head.
👉Waking up during the night or in the morning with increased tension in the jaw and face.
👉Unresolved neck stiffness and pain.

Causes:
👉Direct or indirect trauma from a blow to the chin or from a whiplash injury
👉Grinding or clenching the jaw, often due to emotional stress
👉Loss of dental height from worn down or missing teeth
👉Prolonged periods of jaw opening from dental procedures
👉Cervical posture disorders

Treatment:
👉Treatment should address the causes.

Just completed the last two Bowen modules!

These final procedures are the ‘cherry on top’ and help to ‘troubleshoot’ problems that have not resolved before.
