The Mulligan Concept was founded by a master physiotherapist from New Zealand

Brian R. The concept is a completely new approach in assessment and treatment movement disorders. When movement is restricted at any joint in the body it is possibly caused by joint restriction in certain directions. When indicated, a painfree joint mobilization will commonly restore movement at that specific joint and

results in an immediate decrease of pain or other symptoms. The assessment and treatment is unique, because results will be felt and observed immediately. While the method may not be suitable for all the types of movement or pain problems, it seems to help the most common problems encountered at the clinic. In other words, the method is a pain free joint mobilisation that will commonly restore movement deficit and decrease pain within few minutes.

Sports Manual Therapy

A simple technique you ll never learn at any university, not because they donโ€™t want you to learn it but because it doesnโ€™t exist in any literature. A technique I discovered many years ago while developing the Mulligan concept sports curriculum.

Obviously a mobilisation with movement based on Brian Mulligans original idea.

Simple: posterior pelvic rotation with active assisted hip flexion.
That takes the pressure of the hip and lumbar spine.
This is only a part of the treatment.

In this case, a young lady suffering from severe pain and unable to go to the gym for the past six months after giving birth.

Treated in Dubai few days ago.

A simple treatment for tennis elbow. A lateral glide with a rubber band. This does not substitute the original technique described by Mulligan, but can be used in some situations where you donโ€™t have a bed and a belt.

Treat the person example: this amazing woman is the best lesson learned: first hip replacement at age of 26. 2 Hip replacements, 2,knee replacements and recently cancer survivor, she has a wonderful husband and child and works full time, you ll find her in the gym in Dubai several times a week.
