Children are very observant. They notice changes in your mood, energy, and routine, even if nothing is said.

But without context, they fill in the gaps themselves.
And often, that means assuming they’ve done something wrong.

That’s why explaining menopause, in simple, age-appropriate ways, matters.

For younger children, reassurance is key. They need to know you’re okay and that your reactions are not because of them.

For teens, honesty works better. When they understand what’s happening, they’re more likely to respond with empathy instead of confusion.

These conversations don’t need to be detailed or uncomfortable.
They just need to be clear enough to remove fear and build understanding.

Because when children understand, they don’t just adjust better, they support better too.

Testosterone and menopause are rarely discussed together, yet it’s an important part of the conversation around women’s hormonal health.

While research has helped us understand some benefits of testosterone therapy, there are still areas where science is continuing to learn more. Knowing what we understand today and what still needs further research helps women approach their health with clarity rather than confusion.

If you have questions about hormones during perimenopause or menopause, connect with the experts inside The GCC Menopause Hub community.

We’ve all heard about hot flashes.

But no one really talks about the long list of unexpected, sometimes confusing symptoms that can come with perimenopause.

So if you’ve been feeling off, different, or not quite like yourself, you’re not losing your mind. Your hormones are shifting.

The tricky part is, no two women experience this the same way.
Which is why it can feel hard to understand, and even harder to talk about.

But you’re not alone in this.

At The GCC Menopause Hub, we’ve built a community where women share real experiences and experts help you make sense of what you’re going through.

30 years of working with women and only 10 of those learning about menopause! Imagine how much more I could have helped before if I’d only known.

For years, women have been conditioned to fear menopause as something negative that just "happens to us." But the conversation is changing.

The more we learn, the more we understand that this transition doesn't have to be overwhelming. The way we think about menopause shapes how we move through it.

Over the years, Sharon James has worked with many women who prioritised nutrition, movement, sleep, stress management, and self-care. By working with their bodies, many experienced fewer symptoms and a much more manageable journey.

Every woman's experience is different, and there is absolutely no shame in seeking extra support or treatments. But we must stop waiting until symptoms become unmanageable before paying attention to our health.

So much is within our control:
• How we nourish ourselves
• How we move our bodies
• How we manage stress & sleep
• How we prepare, rather than panic

At The GCC Menopause Hub, we want you to know you are not alone. Menopause isn't the end, it’s a transition to be navigated with confidence, knowledge, and support. Our co-founder, Sharon, brings over 30 years of experience to a wider support system built just for you.

Whether you need guidance, reassurance, or a space to be understood, we’re here:

The more we talk, learn, and support each other, the easier this transition becomes—for us, and for the generations of women to come. 🤍
