One of the biggest breakthroughs I’ve had is realizing that life doesn’t only shape us through what happens.

It shapes us through the meaning we attach to what happens.
Two women can experience the same betrayal, the same rejection, the same loss and walk away with completely different lives.

Not because one was stronger. But because they told themselves different stories.

Lately I’ve been thinking less about growing faster, and more about growing honestly.

I’ve spent so much time asking, “How do I build Elysian House?” But I’m beginning to realize, you don’t build something meaningful all at once. You build it one conversation.
One idea.
One woman.
One honest day at a time.

That’s what I’ve been doing quietly. Brick by brick.
And somehow, that feels enough today.

Nobody has it figured out.

The women you are watching. The ones building things you admire. The ones who look certain and put together and like they always knew what they were doing.

They are doing it scared.
They are doing it panicking.
They are making it up as they go.

The only difference between them and you is that they did it anyway.

Fail early. Fail fast. Do what you have to do.

And do it scared if you have to because waiting until you are ready is just fear with a polite name.

We were taught so much about how to love other people.

Nobody sat us down and taught us how to have a relationship with ourselves. How to listen to ourselves, trust ourselves, be honest with ourselves.

So we grew up giving everything outward. And starving inward.
And then we wonder why everything feels so hard.

The relationship with yourself is not a luxury. It is the foundation. And if it is shaky, everything you build on top of it will eventually feel it.

This is the work. And it starts with you.

We are taught how to love a man, how to raise a child, how to show up at work, how to hold a family together.

But nobody sits you down and says the most important relationship you will ever have is the one you have with yourself. And most of us do not figure that out until we are already empty.

We pour into every relationship around us. We show up for everyone. We perform being okay so well that nobody even thinks to check.

And the woman on the inside, the one doing all the carrying she has not been checked on in months, maybe years.

That is not sustainable, that is not strength,that is a woman slowly disappearing from her own life.

Coming home to yourself is not selfish. It is the most responsible thing you will ever do,for yourself and for every person you love.

Can I be honest with you?

Left a stable job to build something most people didn’t understand, some still don’t.

There are days the mental load is crushing, days the financial pressure feels impossible and sometimes I wonder if any of this is working.

And still I show up. Because I know what I’m building and why.

There is a woman who keeps putting herself last.
Not because she does not know she is doing it. But because every time she tries to choose herself, something else needs her first. The children. The husband. The job. The family. The friend in crisis.

And so she waits. She tells herself next month. Next year. When things settle down. But things never settle down. And she is still waiting.

I named our next gathering The Courage to Choose Yourself because that is exactly what it takes. Courage. Not permission. Not the perfect moment. Just the decision to say - I matter too. And I am done waiting.

We are going to talk about boundaries. About self-trust. About what it actually means to live a life that is true to you and not the version the world expected.

Just a girl fighting for her life.
Not running from it. Fighting for it.

Some days I wake up strong. Some days I wake up scared. But every day I show up. For myself. For my family. For the little girl who always believed something bigger was possible.

I am building something real. Something that will outlast me. And on the days it feels like too much, I remember why I started. For my children. For my husband. For my mum.

We keep telling women to change.

But nobody asks the question that comes before all of that.
Does she feel safe enough to try?

Because a woman cannot get honest in a room where she feels watched. She cannot let go of what she is carrying when her body is still scanning for threats.

She cannot become who she is meant to be while she is still performing who everyone needs her to be.

Safety first. Honesty second. Transformation third.
