Julphar was proud to host the launch of the first biosimilar Darbepoetin Alfa in the UAE on 3 October at Sofitel The Palm, Dubai, bringing together nearly 70 healthcare professionals for an engaging scientific exchange focused on improving outcomes for patients living with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD).
The event was proudly endorsed by EMANT – Emirates Medical Association Nephrology and Transplantation Society, featuring a distinguished faculty of local and international experts who explored key topics across the CKD spectrum, including anemia management in CKD, IgA Nephropathy, and Lupus Nephritis. The high level of interaction and discussion throughout the meeting reflected the growing commitment of the nephrology community to advancing patient care.
The CKD journey is often complex, with patients facing multiple comorbidities. As a result, patients frequently require multiple therapies, creating challenges related to treatment adherence and increasing the economic burden on both patients and healthcare systems.
With the introduction of the UAE's first biosimilar Darbepoetin Alfa, Julphar aims to help simplify this journey by supporting effective anemia management, enhancing patient convenience through less frequent administration, and improving accessibility through reduced treatment costs.
