Some people wake up ready to conquer the day.

I wake up ready to grab my passport, throw on my airport outfit, and head to the terminal. ✈️😂

Do I have a flight booked? Not necessarily.
Am I emotionally prepared to leave the country at a moment’s notice? Absolutely.

My suitcase is basically on standby. 🌍🧳

Apparently, leaving euros in your purse is basically the universe telling you to book another trip to Europe. 🇪🇺✈️

And really… it would be financially irresponsible to let perfectly good currency go to waste. 😂

Flights can be booked. Bags can be packed. I’m just trying to be responsible with my money.

I don’t make the rules. 🤷‍♀️

Expectation: 🍷✨
Reality: 🥤😂

Don’t get me wrong… I’m still going to happily enjoy that little in-flight drink at 35,000 feet. But it’s funny how the airline ads make it look like you’re about to sip a handcrafted cocktail in a crystal glass, and then reality arrives in a tiny plastic cup.

Same destination. Same vacation. Slightly different presentation. 😄

Who’s with me? Have you ever laughed at the difference between the airline’s photos and what actually shows up?

We were raised to work hard, save for a rainy day, and be responsible.

And I did. Mostly. 😂

But somewhere along the way, I realized I don’t want the reward for decades of hard work to just be… more stuff.

I want boarding passes. Passport stamps. Long dinners in little European towns. Sunsets that make me stop mid-sentence. Friends I never would have met if I’d stayed home. And stories that begin with, “Remember that time we…?”

I’ll keep paying the bills and being a responsible adult.

But I’m spending some of that hard-earned money on memories while I’m still young enough to make them. ✈️❤️

I think losing people too soon changes the way you look at life.

You stop assuming there will always be more time. More time to travel. More time to try something new. More time to do the things you’ve been putting off until “someday.”

I’ve lost too many friends who never got the retirement they worked for. They never got to take all those trips they talked about or enjoy all those years they thought were waiting for them.

So yes, I travel now. I say yes more often. I spend money on experiences. I make the memories while I can.

I’m still planning for the future — I’m just not postponing my life for it.

Because retirement is a goal. Getting there is not a guarantee. ❤️

Every once in a while, someone comes along who makes the world feel a little kinder, a little brighter, and a lot more hopeful. 💛

Dolly Parton was one of those rare people.

She reminded us to believe in ourselves, lead with kindness, laugh often, work hard, and never forget where we came from. She showed us that success and humility can go hand in hand, and that generosity is measured by what you give—not what you have.

“You got to believe. If nothing else, you got to believe in yourself and you got to believe in your gifts.”

Thank you, Dolly, for sharing your gifts so freely with the world. Your music, your heart, your humor, and your unwavering compassion touched millions of lives—including mine.

The world feels a little dimmer today, but your light will continue to shine through every song, every smile, and every person you inspired.

Rest easy, Dolly. You’ll always be one of a kind. 🤍

I don’t make the rules… I just follow them. 😏🍊🥂

There’s something about sitting in a sunny piazza, waterfront café, or tucked-away square with an Aperol Spritz in hand that instantly makes me feel like I’ve arrived. It’s not even about the drink—it’s about slowing down, people-watching, and soaking up the atmosphere.

So yes… if I’m in Europe, chances are you’ll find an Aperol Spritz somewhere in my hand. Research purposes, of course. 🇮🇹🇭🇷🇸🇮🇲🇪

What’s your go-to vacation drink?

At this point, I’m pretty sure having a trip on the calendar counts as self-care. 😂✈️

Because somehow everything feels a little more manageable when there’s a boarding pass in your future.

Bad day? I have a trip booked.
Work stressing me out? I have a trip booked.
Have no idea what’s happening in the world anymore? I HAVE A TRIP BOOKED. 😂

Sometimes you just need something to look forward to—a new place, a change of scenery, and that little countdown on your phone reminding you that an adventure is coming.

So yes, I’ll be coping… one booked flight at a time. ✈️🌍

There needs to be a support group for people who just got back from Europe. 😂✈️🇪🇺

Because how are we supposed to go from cobblestone streets, little cafés, gorgeous views, castles, and cappuccinos… to grocery shopping, strip malls, and making our own coffee?

My body made it home. My brain is still sitting at a café somewhere in Europe wondering where we’re going next. ☕️😂

And don’t even get me started on opening the camera roll. That’s when the withdrawal really kicks in.

Please allow 7–10 business days for reentry into regular life.

Who else needs a seat in this support group? 🙋‍♀️

When your Airbnb has a drying rack AND it’s 90°+ outside… you don’t waste that kind of opportunity. 😂🧺☀️

Three weeks in Europe with only a carry-on means you have to do laundry somewhere along the way. I pack laundry detergent tablets (Blueland) - they take up practically no room, there’s no liquid to worry about, and they make it easy to wash a few things whenever I need to.

A little handwashing + a drying rack + European summer heat = clean clothes in no time. 🙌

Is it glamorous? No.
Does it mean I can travel for three weeks without checking a bag? Absolutely.

Sometimes the best Airbnb amenity isn’t the view, the balcony, or the pool. It’s a drying rack. 😂
