📍Շերոն Չեքիջյանը Յեյլի համալսարանի շտապօգնության բժշկության ամբիոնի դոցենտ է և նաև հիվանդների փորձառության առաջին բժշկական տնօրենը։ Նրա հետազոտությունները կենտրոնանում են համաշխարհային շտապօգնության բժշկության վրա, հատկապես ցածր և միջին եկամուտ ունեցող երկրներում շտապօգնության համակարգերի զարգացմանն ու վնասվածքների կանխարգելմանը: Բժիչկ Չեքիջյանը ղեկավարել է ծրագրեր Հայաստանում, Ուգանդայում և Իրաքում։

👩‍⚕️2020 թվականին նա արժանացել է Ֆուլբրայթի կրթաթոշակի Հայաստանում շտապօգնության բժշկության ռեզիդենտուրա ծրագրի ստեղծելու համար։ Այս ծրագիրը, որն աջակցություն է ստացել Հայաստանի Ամերիկյան համալսարանի կողմից, ընդունել է իր առաջին 13 ռեզիդենտներին 2023 թվականին։ Դոկտոր Չեքիջյանը նվիրված է հիվանդների հետ հաղորդակցությանը և մարդասիրությանը բժշկության մեջ, ու նաև համահեղինակել է «Թաքնված քարտեզ» ֆիլմը, որը պատմում է 1915 թվականի Հայոց Ցեղասպանության մասին։

🇺🇸Meet the Faculty.
📍Sharon Chekijian is an Associate Professor in Emergency Medicine at Yale, where she also serves as the inaugural Medical Director of patient experience. Her research focuses on global emergency medicine, particularly in developing emergency care systems, injury prevention in low and middle-income countries. Dr. Chekijian has led projects in Armenia, Uganda, and Iraq.

👩‍⚕️In 2020, she received a Fulbright for establishing an emergency medicine residency program in Armenia. The program, supported by the American University of Armenia, admitted its first 13 residents in 2023. Dr. Chekijian is committed to patient communication and humanism in medicine and also co-produced a film on the Armenian Genocide titled “The Hidden Map.”
