💡 Research insights on intensive technology-supported arm rehabilitation after stroke.

Prof. Thomas Platz and the Laborn upper limb outpatient service (Germany) explored a two-week intensive rehabilitation program for people living with chronic stroke.

The program combined structured impairment-oriented arm training with technology-supported therapy using devices such as Amadeo, Diego, Pablo and Myro.

First Elvis Training at Acibadem Altunizade Hospital

Our Clinical Application team recently visited Acibadem Altunizade Hospital in Istanbul for their first hands-on training with Elvis – now part of the hospital’s pediatric rehabilitation setup.

Together with Myro, Tyrostation, Pablo, and Tymo, Elvis expands the range of technology-assisted therapy options available to the pediatric team.

Despite the new therapy rooms still being under construction, the team made the most of the training in their seminar room – including hands-on practice and therapy sessions with patients. It was great to see such an enthusiastic group of physiotherapists exploring the new possibilities from day one!

Lexo Training at Shepherd Center

Following the installation of Lexo at Shepherd Center in Atlanta, Georgia, our Clinical Application team joined their physical therapists and therapy management for two days of hands-on training.

The sessions combined practical device training with real patient application. During his first session with Lexo, Sam worked on weight acceptance during loading response and midstance of his affected leg. Within the same session, Sam noticeably improved his weight shifting and progressed to volitionally initiating the ipsilateral active-assisted swing phase.

For the clinical team, the training focused on confidently navigating Lexo’s hardware and software settings and adapting the system to individual therapeutic goals.

A big thank you to the team for two days of great collaboration, clinical exchange, and hands-on learning. We look forward to seeing Lexo become part of their daily clinical practice and support many more therapy sessions ahead!
