First scientific data for -19, or better known as has been published. In Wuhan (China) a cohort of n=191 inpatients has been observed.

It could be seen, that 94% of the cohort suffered a and the median duration of fever in survivors was 12 days.

Especially in the first week after illness onset, in more then 80% of the patients a fever was observed.

Fever-treatment might become a challenge for our health systems, if the number of corona infections will increase.

In den letzten Tagen wurden erste klinische Daten für -19 – besser bekannt als publiziert.

In Wuhan (China) wurde hierzu eine Gruppe von n=191 Patienten beobachtet.

94% der Patienten litt während der stationären Behandlung unter Fieber, welches im Durchschnitt für eine Dauer von 12 Tagen auftrat. Speziell in der ersten Woche nach Krankheitsbeginn, litten ca. 80% aller Patienten unter Fieber.

Fieberbehandlung könnte unsere Gesundheitssysteme also vor eine neue Herausforderung im Kampf gegen covid-19 stellen, wenn die Infektionszahlen weiter steigen.
