Looking forward to my new career move. Starting as a full time substantive Consultant at Yeovil District Hospital part of Somerset NHSFT on 11th April. Will resume private consultations in the South West shortly. In the meantime I am still available at Spire London East.

Received this for volunteering to work a 12 hour night shift on the Royal London COVID ITU. It was an experience like no other, terrifying and yet somehow uplifting, sad but also inspiring. As an Eye Surgeon I was out of my comfort zone. Yet the ITU team welcomed me despite my obvious lack of ITU skills.

Having spent over 5 years as a Clinical Lead and Clinical Network Director for the Eye Service at Whipps Cross (Barts Health NHS Trust) I am deeply thankful for this recognition. Proud to be one of three Finalists for Inspirational Leader of the Year in the Health Education England Awards!

It has been a busy 2018 as Clinical Network Director for Ophthalmology at Barts Health NHS Trust, the largest acute Trust in England. Was over-joyed to be nominated as a Barts Hero once again and to attend the a Chairman’s lunch.

This was very close to my heart as I was the Clinical Lead for the service. The project was a finalist in the HSJ awards putting Barts Health NHS Trust on the map for Creating a Supportive Staff Culture.
