🌿 Why Our Work Matters 🌿

At Mindful Mob, we have been sitting with this for a while. Like many of our mob, we believe strong culture creates strong futures.

The reason why we’ve sat with this is because we translate ancestral knowledge into modern society every day. This takes time. We don’t ever want to force or rush this. It is an honour to sit with.

Every event, gathering, market, retreat, partnership and community healing activation is part of something bigger than a single moment.

It’s about creating space for connection.

It’s about sharing knowledge.

It’s about developing leadership.

It’s about supporting our wellbeing.

It’s about investing in future generations.

Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of engaging more than 20,000 people through community events and activations, connecting personally with over 8,000+ community members and reaching more than 500,000 people online.

Every person, has a story, a conversation and a community they call home ~ we feel part of it too.

This work matters because culture matters.

Community matters.

Family matters.

Relationships matter.

We’ve recently launched our new Why Our Work Matters page, sharing the vision, values and impact behind Mindful Mob Wellness Institute.

We invite you to explore the journey with us.

💚 Strong People.
💚 Strong Communities.
💚 Strong Culture.
💚 Strong Futures.

Hey, beautiful people 🙏🏾🌌

As we are continue our healing journey 🌿

𝐹𝑜𝑟 𝑢𝑠:
I reclaim my peace.
m.s.b

For anyone carrying a little too much.

May you find a moment to breathe.

A moment to soften.
A moment to come back to yourself.

Life has a way of pulling us away from it.

We have the power to call it back.
Every.
Time.

💜 Keep our People in your Prayers 💜

Our Old people and Ancestors know who their children are. Praying we all find our way home.

Between 1910-1970, Indigenous children were forcibly removed from their families as a result of various government policies. The generations of children removed under these policies became known as ‘the Stolen Generations’.

Today, Wednesday 26, is National Sorry Day. It is the National Day of Healing for our Stolen Generations. Our longest living culture in the world is still waiting for our stolen children, our lost children to come home and for our healing.

We will never forget. 🖤💛❤️💚💙🤍

This week, Mindful Mob has been attending Common Threads: The Next Horizon alongside over 300 First Nations leaders, community advocates and changemakers from across the country.

We’ve been listening closely.

One reflection continuing to rise for us is this:

Healing must match activism.

Across our communities, many people are carrying leadership, advocacy, truth-telling, grief, burnout and the ongoing work of creating change.

Through Mindful Mob, we’ve learnt that healing spaces are strongest when they are built slowly, with care, trust and community.

Indigenous healers and ways of wellbeing have always existed here — long before systems, services or institutions.

Our wellbeing practices have always been held through lore, Elders, responsibility, ceremony, Country and community care.

This work reminds us of the importance of returning within.
To slow down.
To breathe.
To reconnect with ourselves and each other.

Strong movements need strong people.

And strong people need places where they can rest, reflect, reconnect and simply be held.

This is long-term work.
We must care for each other along the way.

Under this full moon energy, we’re sitting in deep gratitude.

We met so many beautiful people
from around the world —
sharing space, stories, and quiet moments of connection.

There was something simple, but powerful in it.

People pausing.
Breathing.
Returning to themselves.

It reminded us why we do this work.

To hold space for peace, connection, and healing —
for our mob, and for all who come into these spaces.

We carry this from Country.
Guided by Elders.
Held in community.

And we’re ready to keep growing it.

To travel.
To build relationships across lands and cultures.
To share this work in the right way.

As Mother Earth turns, we’re calling in
abundance, good health, and safety for all —
and the support needed to carry this work forward.

For those who feel aligned —
there is a place for you in this.

Rest is part of leadership.

Within , our team of First Nations and ally healers supported delegates in real time — offering space to pause, breathe, and reset.

We have shared our cultures and the diversity within our team — holding space for rising thoughts, deep emotions and beautiful aspirations.

We saw bodies and voices soften, exhale, and return to themselves, even if just for a moment.

This work comes from our cultural lineages and lived experiences.
It is not new, and it is not optional. It is part of who we are.

Invest in Indigenous-led healing spaces — we’re proud to be part of carrying this work forward.

We stand with everyone who came through this space, and we’ll continue this work together — in community and beyond.

Grateful to all who sat with us.

Most of all to our Wurundjeri family 🌿
