Breath Medicine TOMORROW
Saturday 23 May | 2.00pm – 4.00pm

Still time to register, link in Bio ♥︎

Breath Medicine weaves together ideas from breathwork, mindfulness, somatic therapy, earth-connection practices and psychedelic therapy.

It is a trauma-informed approach to using the breath to access expanded states of consciousness, and integrate those experiences into meaningful action and lasting change in your life.

In this 2 hour workshop, you will take time to land in the space, receive instruction on the practice and ask questions before embarking on a 70 minute Breath Medicine journey. There will be time to share as a group before we finish for the day.

The practice is supportive of each individual's needs, and empowers participants to tune into their intuition and take the lead in their journeys. Any given session can be quiet, peaceful and regenerative, loud and expressive, anywhere in between.

Yoga for Beginners | Six Saturdays 13 June - 18 July | 12-1:45PM

Can't make all Saturdays? Classes will be recorded for registered students!

A Workshop Series for Yoga Exploration, with Julia & Bobbi

Have you ever wanted to try Yoga or explore more of your current Yoga practice?

Are you looking to improve your physical and mental wellbeing?

Are you looking for a safe and easeful teaching style?

Our Yoga for Beginners course is suitable to all ages and body types. This workshop series is ideal for beginners or for consistent practitioners seeking additional guidance and deeper knowledge of Yoga.

This workshop series is not about forcing your body into a certain shape or looking a certain way in a pose. It's about understanding how your body and mind respond to each pose, breathing technique, and somatic cue.

Yoga for Beginners is an accessible introduction to the postural practice of Yoga and is a grounding start for you to explore other Yoga classes. This series is also an opportunity to learn ways in which Yoga can be applied to wellness in your everyday life!

WK 1. Grounding - seated and lying poses connecting us to the Earth and body-breath-mind connection. Creating safety through sense of touch and sound.

WK 2. Balance - various ways to find balance in the hips, spine and nervous system. Exploring proprioception, the body's sense of itself in space.

WK 3. Centering - core strengtheners, twists & standing poses. Exploring interoception, the awareness of the body's internal functions.

WK 4. Opening - Heart openers, backbends, neck and throat openers. Exploring sense of vibration through the voice and breathing muscles.

WK 5. Subtle Body - body-breath-mind connection, neck, face, and scalp releasing. Sensing subtle energy and discovering poses as a way to prepare the body for meditation.

WK 6. Bring it all together - Combining previous lessons to experience a well rounded class ending in a guided meditation.

Julia and Bobbi will guide you gently and wisely with individual attention and compassionate support.

Understanding and Working with the Chakra System;

"Chakra" is a Sanskrit word meaning "wheel" or "area", specifically an area of moving energy. In Ayurveda, the sister medicine to Yoga, there are 7 main Chakras in our bodies and each one correlates to specific hormonal glands, organs, and even psychological aspects of the human experience.

For example, the Root Chakra is the first and sits at the tip of your tailbone, including your legs and the base of your pelvic bowl. It involves the organs of elimination, or letting go, and directly connects us with mother earth. In a psychological sense, it represents our experience of grounding, or being energetically rooted to the planet. It includes all of our basic needs of nourishment and survival. When we focus on this area in practice, we can enhance this state of mind in ourselves and improve our physical and emotional abilities of letting go…

Learn more about the 7 Chakras in our Yoga for Beginners Series starting June.

Not New to Yoga? No Worries, Mate! This series is still designed just for YOU!

There is a philosophical aspect in the study of Yoga that shares whenever we sit on our mat, we are all beginners. Beginners of that new session, in a new body, in a new moment of time and space.

We are constantly changing. Lifestyle, weather, events, and even your sleeping position throughout the night all effect your body-mind-spirit.

Each time we make time for ourselves is an opportunity to look inside and see what it is our bodies and mental-emotional states require. They are constantly speaking to us, but it takes practice to stop, sit, and listen.

What is your body asking you for? Learn how to become more intune with the subtleties of your ever evolving existence. Julia & Bobbi will guide you through ancient and modern techniques to help you learn as a daily beginner more about yourself and your environment every time you choose self-care.
