Irfan Hashmi My vision is to continue growing the developing community collaboration pharmacist & cricket 🏏

I Irfan Hashmi, see, hear, feel, and know that community pharmacies and pharmacy owners are playing a major role in our health system in South Australia despite many challenges, I believe there is an opportunity to advance our industry. As operating pharmacies for some 14 years in multiple locations including country South Australia, I believe I have a deep understanding of matters that affect t

he pharmacy owner’s community. I am passionate about networking and developing people to people connections. During the Pandemic I collaborated with various different community and sports organisations, conducted twenty-four flu clinics outside of the pharmacy, and provided 1200 free flu vaccines to vulnerable people in SA. I believe pharmacy owner’s collaboration and partnerships with local politicians, general practitioners and non for profit, social sporting community organisation can open more opportunities.

Josimar José Évora Dias, better known as Vozinha, is 40 years old and arrived at the 2026 World Cup without an active professional contract, earning just 50 thousand euros a year. 🧤

No one was betting on Cape Verde. But the smallest country ever to reach a World Cup drew with Spain, Uruguay, and Saudi Arabia, and advanced unbeaten to the round of 16. Waiting there was Argentina, who could barely eliminate them 3-2 in extra time in Miami.

During that match, Vozinha received medical attention right on the field. And on social media, something many didn’t see coming started to spread: the goalkeeper may have a vision problem, possibly pterygium or a cataract, that may have been with him throughout the entire tournament. He went from 200 thousand followers to more than 14 million in a matter of weeks. 👁️⚽

The world watched two athletes from two different sports show that staying calm can be just as powerful as great skill.

At the 2026 World Cup, 40-year-old Cape Verde goalkeeper Vozinha, whose real name is Josimar José Évora Dias, faced one of football's strongest teams—Spain. For 90 long minutes, Spain attacked again and again, but Vozinha refused to give up. He made seven brilliant saves, diving, blocking, and standing tall under constant pressure. When the final whistle blew, the scoreboard read 0-0. It was Cape Verde's first-ever World Cup match, and they had earned a historic draw. Vozinha was named Man of the Match, and overnight, the world knew his name.

Two years earlier, another athlete had amazed the world in a completely different way.

At the 2024 Paris Olympics, Turkish shooter Yusuf Dikeç stepped onto the range looking surprisingly ordinary. While many competitors wore special glasses, ear protection, and shooting visors, Dikeç wore simple glasses, a plain T-shirt, and kept one hand casually in his pocket. He looked relaxed, almost as if he were practicing at home.

Shot after shot, he stayed cool under pressure. Together with Şevval İlayda Tarhan, he won the silver medal in the 10-meter air pistol mixed team event. It was Turkey's first-ever Olympic medal in shooting, and Dikeç achieved it at the age of 51.

Vozinha and Dikeç proved the same powerful lesson. You don't always need fancy equipment or dramatic celebrations to make history. Sometimes, quiet confidence, steady nerves, and believing in yourself are enough to inspire millions.
