A few times a year I help some of the dancers of Choo La La Burlesque Fusion Adelaide get ready for their performances. And I love it. I’m also out there on the stage.

A flashback to 9 years ago. I was just completing my certificate 2 in hair. I was asked to assist one of the photographic makeup students (Debra) with the hair on her gorgeous bridal makeup model Cassie. This was so much fun

It’s a Choo La La Burlesque Fusion Adelaide show weekend. Not only am I on stage but we’re helping others with their show looks. This is a public service announcement to remind all on stage (and the general public) to make sure that their makeup brushes are clean. Your finished look and your skin will thank you.

We have not offered nail services in quite some time. To be honest after lockdowns I fell out of love with them. I still was happy to have them but I just didn’t feel the same about offering them.

Recently I have started feeling the urge to create again. I’m currently learning soft gel techniques (you may know them as Apres or GelX) and will be looking for models as I perfect my skills (not yet though)

Presently I have only been working on myself but here are a couple of (imperfect) examples showing progress.

We’re nearly a month into 2025! Incredible! How is this year going so fast already

This year we are excited. Multiple bookings for fringe performances … and I actually am involved in fringe this year also! As always October and November are fully booked up with Halloween events and the Christmas pageant.

Please remember we do not only offer beauty and makeup services. We do some basic hair styling and we also offer event planning - be it ensuring everything runs smoothly on your special day, planning parties/events and even doing your decorating.

We are fully booked October and November! I’m so sorry but thank you to everyone for your support. We’ll be busy throughout October with Halloween events and November is the fabulous National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant as well as other celebrations. The Christmas pageant is my favourite day volunteering to get so many faces ready for a fabulous day. This is my 10th year (wow it’s gone fast!). Please get your bookings in for December ASAP as we are rapidly running out of dates then also
