What does winding down actually look like for our Life Skills Hub Team? 🌙

In this video, our clinicians share the small habits and routines that help them switch off, recharge, and prioritise better sleep after a busy day supporting others.

From screen-free evenings to calming routines and mindful moments, quality rest plays an important role in overall health and wellbeing — for both clinicians and clients alike.

What helps you unwind at the end of the day? ⬇️

Our Craft Group has been an ongoing highlight for both our clients and facilitators on Saturday mornings ✨🎨
Over several successful years, this group has continued to grow, evolve, and adapt alongside the needs, interests, and goals of the participants. From creativity and connection to building confidence and independence, each session looks a little different as the group progresses together.
Here’s a little insight into what our Craft Group looks like now and the meaningful moments that make it so special 💛🖌️

We’re excited to welcome Kaitlin an Occupational Therapy student from Adelaide University, who will be joining us on placement from 27/04/2026 to 05/07/2026! ✨

During this time, Kaitlin will be working alongside our team to develop her skills and gain hands-on experience in occupational therapy practice. We’re looking forward to supporting her learning journey and having her as part of our service. ❤️

Please join us in giving her a warm welcome! 👏

A fun fact about her is that she’s a big fan of Star Wars and enjoys playing violin and ukulele in her spare time! 🌟 🎻

NOW OFFERING HYDROTHERAPY🤽
We’re excited to share that Life Skills Hub will now be offering hydrotherapy from Term 2 at Welland! 😊

Hydrotherapy sessions will be run by Dimi, one of our occupational therapists and uses the support of water to help young people build skills in a different and engaging environment.

In hydrotherapy sessions, participants can:

💧 Build strength and coordination in a supported environment
💧 Improve confidence with movement and trying new activities
💧 Develop regulation skills in a calming space
💧 Practice everyday skills in a different setting
💧 Engage in therapy in a way that feels enjoyable and motivating

At Life Skills Hub, hydrotherapy is more than just time in the pool—it’s another way we support young people to build independence, work towards their goals and participate more confidently in daily life.

If you would like to learn more about hydrotherapy or see if it’s suitable for you or your young person, reach out to our admin team:
