Here are six simple evening rituals that naturally incorporate Reiki and help create a peaceful transition into rest.
1. Self-Reiki Before Bed
Spend 10–20 minutes offering Reiki to yourself. You might place your hands on your head, heart, abdomen, or wherever you're guided. Allow your breath to slow and simply receive Reiki before sleep.
2. Reiki Gratitude Practice
Reflect on three moments from your day that you're grateful for while allowing Reiki to flow. Gratitude helps shift your awareness toward appreciation and creates a peaceful mindset before bed.
3. Release the Day with Kenyoku
Practice Kenyoku (Dry Bathing) to symbolically release the experiences of the day. As you complete each movement, allow your awareness to return to the present moment and prepare for restful sleep.
4. Journal with Reiki
Begin by inviting Reiki to flow, then spend a few minutes writing about your day, any insights you've received, or intentions for tomorrow. Let Reiki guide your reflection without overthinking what you write.
5. Reiki Meditation
Sit quietly for 10–15 minutes with Reiki flowing. Focus on your breath, observe your thoughts with curiosity, and allow yourself to settle into a place of stillness and presence.
6. Reiki for Your Sleep Space
Before getting into bed, invite Reiki to flow throughout your bedroom. You might offer Reiki to your pillow, blankets, or the entire room while setting an intention for a peaceful, restorative night's sleep.
These rituals don't need to take a long time. Even five to ten minutes of intentional Reiki practice each evening can help create a sense of peace, presence, and relaxation as you prepare for sleep.
