If you’re new here, welcome to Your Therapy SA.
I’m Erika, the owner of Your Therapy SA and a practising Physiotherapist. I started YTSA to create the kind of service I believe people deserve: practical, respectful, individualised therapy where clients and families feel listened to, supported and genuinely valued.

Our team includes Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, a Senior Developmental Educator and an Allied Health Assistant, and we support children and adults across Adelaide. We provide ongoing therapy, Functional Capacity Assessments, assistive technology, hydrotherapy, home and community-based therapy and other disability-related supports.

We are a small Adelaide-based team, and that matters to us. We value strong relationships, clear communication, collaboration and making sure therapy is actually useful in everyday life. We work closely with clients, families, support coordinators and other providers, and we try to keep things personal.

I still work directly with clients and families myself, so if you are unsure where to start, want to know which therapist may be the best fit, or just want to talk through what support you are looking for, please reach out. You are always welcome to call and speak with me directly.

Meet Andrew Johnson, one of our Physiotherapists at Your Therapy SA.

Andrew works with both children and adults and provides physiotherapy across community and aquatic settings. He supports clients with mobility, strength, balance, rehabilitation and functional goals, with a practical approach focused on helping people participate more confidently in everyday activities.

Andrew has a particular interest in hydrotherapy and provides both individual aquatic physiotherapy and group hydrotherapy sessions at StateSwim Glen Osmond. He enjoys adapting therapy to suit each client’s abilities, goals and interests.

Outside of work, Andrew enjoys playing hockey and staying active.

Meet Pahul Chahal, one of our Occupational Therapists at Your Therapy SA.

Pahul works with children and families across home, school and community settings, with a particular interest in ongoing paediatric therapy and helping children build confidence and independence in everyday activities.

He enjoys getting to know his clients over time and supporting practical goals around participation, routines, emotional regulation, sensory needs, daily living skills and home environments. Pahul uses a client-centred approach and values working closely with families, educators and other members of the support team.

Outside of work, Pahul enjoys playing chess, video games, collecting items and spending time with his four small dogs. He is also a fan of The Office and loves hotpot.

Languages: English, Punjabi and Hindi.

Akshika is currently completing a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) and brings a calm, caring and supportive approach to her work with children and adults living with disability. She assists with therapy programs, practical skill development and client engagement under the guidance of our allied health team.

Is Your Child Developing at Their Own Pace? Here's How We Can Help

Every child grows and learns in their own way. Some children might walk or talk a little later than others, and that’s okay. But when multiple developmental milestones are delayed beyond expected age ranges, it may be a sign of developmental delay or global developmental delay (GDD).

At Your Therapy SA, our experienced occupational therapists and physiotherapists are trained to identify and assess concerns in development, motor skills, adaptive function, sensory regulation, and coordination. While we do not provide a formal medical diagnosis, we play a vital role in the early identification process and in helping families navigate next steps.

Our team uses a range of gold-standard tools to assess your child’s development, including:
• MABC-3 (Movement Assessment Battery for Children)
• BOT-3 (Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency)
• Sensory Profile 2
• Adaptive behaviour tools (e.g., Vineland-3)
• Functional observations and developmental milestone tracking

These tools help us identify difficulties in areas like fine and gross motor skills, coordination, daily living tasks, and sensory processing.

If you’re concerned about your child’s development, we can offer:
• A Functional Capacity Assessment (FCA) with a full clinical report
• Home, school, clinic, or Telehealth appointments across metro Adelaide
• Collaboration with your child’s GP or paediatrician to support diagnostic pathways
• Guidance around NDIS access, early intervention, and therapy planning

Early intervention improves outcomes. Whether your child is struggling with emotional regulation, play skills, mobility, or independence at home or school, early support helps build confidence and lifelong skills.

We’re excited to welcome Pahul Chahal to the Your Therapy SA team!

Pahul holds a Bachelor of Health Science and a Master of Occupational Therapy. He has a strong background in providing ongoing therapy across home, school, and residential settings, with a particular focus on paediatrics and providing ongoing therapy.

Pahul works across metropolitan Adelaide. He is passionate about building strong relationships with clients and seeing their progress through consistent, meaningful therapy. He works from a bottom-up approach, using the Canadian Model of Occupational Performance and Engagement (CMOP-E), and is fluent in English, Punjabi, and Hindi.

Outside of work, Pahul enjoys playing chess, video games, collecting items, and spending time with his four small dogs. His favourite show is The Office (US), and he’s a big fan of hotpot!

Pahul is available Monday to Friday for community-based therapy across metro Adelaide.

We’re pleased to share that Peter Akiat, Senior Occupational Therapist at Your Therapy SA, currently has the capacity to support adult clients across metropolitan Adelaide.

Peter brings over 10 years of experience working with adults to complete Functional Capacity Assessments, Home Modifications, and Assistive Technology assessments, equipment trials, and reporting. He is highly experienced, calm, and compassionate in his approach, taking the time to understand each client’s goals and environment.

Peter is fluent in English, Tagalog, and Bisaya and is happy to travel across all areas of metropolitan Adelaide to support clients in their homes, in the clinic, or via telehealth.
