Ancora National Wednesday Story

A few weeks ago at Ancora National, Chloe showed a great example of building independence and trying something new.

After trying hot pot out in the community, Chloe decided she wanted to recreate it at home. With a clear goal in mind, she took the initiative to visit Coles on her own and purchase all the ingredients she needed. This was a fantastic step in developing her everyday living skills and confidence.
Chloe planned what she needed, found the items in store, and completed her shopping independently. These are important skills, and it was great to see her take them on with such a positive attitude.

Once she returned home, Chloe followed through and successfully recreated the hot pot experience, turning something she enjoyed into something she could do herself.
This is exactly what we love seeing, Chloe building her skills in the community, trying new things, and growing in confidence each step of the way.

Moments like this show how powerful it can be to step outside your comfort zone and give something new a go.

Monday Good News Story Ancora National
At Ancora National, we believe every journey matters and today we are proud to share an inspiring story that perfectly reflects what can happen when the right support, determination, and teamwork come together.

We would like to celebrate our new participant Ivan, who has achieved something truly remarkable in just a short space of time. After completing only three shifts with Ancora National, Ivan has already taken a huge step forward in his journey toward employment, proving that with the right mindset and support, anything is possible.

Ivan was recently introduced to our new support worker Barry, and within just two visits, something incredible happened. Together, Ivan and Barry planned and carried out a visit to Barrossa Enterprises, where Ivan had the opportunity to go on a factory tour, an experience that turned out to be an absolute highlight.

From the very beginning, Ivan showed enthusiasm and courage. After being out of work for over eight years, taking that step back into an employment environment can be daunting, but Ivan embraced the opportunity with confidence. During the visit, he was eager to explore the workspace, connect with the management team, and ask questions about potential employment opportunities. His willingness to engage and step outside his comfort zone was truly inspiring.

Barry’s support in this process has been outstanding. In such a short time, he was able to build trust with Ivan and quickly turn a conversation into real action. This is what we strive for at Ancora National responsive, person-centred support that meets participants where they are and helps them move forward with purpose.

At Ancora National, we often say we are there from start to finish of the journey, and Ivan’s story is a perfect example of what that means. Everyone has their own reason to work their own goals, dreams, and motivations and we are here to help uncover and support those ambitions so each individual can become a superstar in their own right.

This experience at Barrossa Enterprises is just the beginning. It shows what can happen when people work together, stay proactive, and believe in the possibilities ahead. It’s a powerful reminder that even after years away from the workforce, progress can happen quickly with the right support and determination.

We are incredibly proud of Ivan and the progress he has already made in such a short time. His journey is only just beginning, and we are excited to see what comes next.

Good Friday Success Story from National

Ancora National is proud to share a truly inspiring story that highlights the power of listening, support, and meaningful goal setting.

Nathaniel, one of our newer participants, has been with Ancora National for only a few months, but in that short time, he has already made incredible progress toward his NDIS goals. One of Nathaniel’s key aspirations is employment, and more specifically, his passion lies in working with buses whether that’s cleaning them or being involved in their daily operations.

At Ancora National, we believe that every dream matters. So, we did what we do best we listened.

Understanding Nathaniel’s interest, his support worker Cassie went above and beyond to create a memorable and meaningful experience. Wanting to encourage and inspire him, Cassie organised a surprise visit during one of Nathaniel’s shifts to a local bus depot. This wasn’t just a visit it was an opportunity.

During the visit, Nathaniel had the chance to meet and speak directly with the management team, gaining firsthand insight into the industry and exploring what potential opportunities might look like for him in the future. It was a moment of connection, learning, and possibility.
What made this experience even more special was seeing Nathaniel’s reaction his smile said it all. In that moment, he wasn’t just visiting a bus depot he was taking a real step toward his employment goals.

At Ancora National, we are passionate about helping our participants turn their goals into reality. Nathaniel’s journey is a beautiful reminder of what can be achieved when we work together, listen closely, and create opportunities that matter.

We are incredibly proud of Nathaniel. In such a short time, he is already ticking off important milestones with the support of the Ancora National team.

Good Friday Good News

At Ancora National, we believe that showing up in person can open doors you never expected. Building confidence, connecting face to face, and making a great first impression can truly change the course of someone’s journey.

We saw that belief come to life. With support from Ancora National, Harrison had the opportunity to meet prospective employer Dang in person. From that very first visit, Harrison made a strong impression and formed a genuine connection, proving that you never know where a single conversation can lead.

On this Good Friday, we’re celebrating moments like these: small steps, meaningful connections, and new opportunities taking shape.

Because sometimes, all it takes is the courage to turn up and be yourself.

Wednesday Win!
With the wonderful support of Karen, our dedicated support worker, Sally took a positive step forward on her employment journey by attending an interview for a hospitality role.
At Ancora National, we are all about working towards meaningful employment through skill building, confidence development, and real-life opportunities.

Seeing Sally grow in confidence and take on new challenges is something we are incredibly proud of.

Friday feels at Ancora National

It’s a great example of what collaboration, encouragement, and thoughtful planning can achieve and a perfect way to wrap up the week feeling inspired.

It’s Friday, and we love ending the week by sharing another great story.

Meet Aiyana

Aiyana has recently taken an exciting step forward by starting her barista course, and already her confidence and skills are flourishing. What began as an interest is quickly becoming a pathway toward meaningful employment.

From learning how to craft the perfect coffee to stepping confidently into a brand‑new environment, Aiyana is building more than just technical skills she is building belief in herself and her future.

Stories like Aiyana’s remind us that when the right support meets determination, incredible things happen.

We are so proud to be part of this journey and can’t wait to see where it takes her next.

Participant Success Story
We are so proud to share that our participant Kaitee at Ancora National has just reached her 6 month milestone at Uniting SA!

Kaitee came to Ancora National seeking support to find employment, and through collaborative planning, ongoing support, and a focus on her wellbeing, we were able to help her secure meaningful work while ensuring she remains happy and fulfilled.

Kaitee is absolutely loving her role, thriving in the workplace, and her dedication has already been recognised, she has been offered the opportunity to move into permanent part‑time or full‑time employment.

Kaitee is currently deciding what path best suits her, which is an incredible position to be in.

As we always say, show your dedication at work and the results will come.

We couldn’t be prouder of Kaitee and we look forward to seeing many more amazing steps in her journey ahead
