WOW, what an absolutely electric, joy‑packed, colour‑soaked day we had across all our Focus sites! Our Colour Run wasn’t just an event… it was an explosion of energy, laughter, and pure happiness that lit up every corner of our community.

From the very start, the excitement was buzzing. Participants and staff came together to mix the colour, share ideas, and get ready for the fun and you could feel the anticipation building with every moment. As soon as the colour started flying, the whole day transformed. Bright clouds of pink, blue, yellow, and green filled the air, creating a rainbow that followed us from site to site.

Everywhere you looked, there were smiles huge, unstoppable, genuine smiles. Participants ran, walked, rolled, danced, and celebrated through bursts of colour, cheering each other on and soaking up every second. Staff joined in with just as much enthusiasm, turning the day into a massive team celebration filled with laughter, high‑fives, and unforgettable moments.

The energy was incredible. The joy was contagious. And the sense of togetherness was something truly special. Across all our sites, you could see the Focus spirit shining people supporting one another, celebrating individuality, and creating memories that will stay with us for years.

A massive, heartfelt thank you to every staff member who helped bring this day to life. Your planning, creativity, teamwork, and willingness to dive right into the fun made this Colour Run a huge success. You didn’t just organise an event you created an experience that brought our whole community together in the most colourful way possible.

Well done, and a HUGE congratulations to every single one of you. Today was vibrant, joyful, and absolutely unforgettable and it’s all thanks to the incredible people who make Focus the amazing community it is. I cannot wait to see next years.

Woohoo, what an absolutely amazing day our Elizabeth guys had at the Army Museum! From the moment they arrived, you could see the excitement building. The museum team were fantastic, sharing stories, history, and memories that helped our crew connect with the incredible legacy of our past and present diggers. It was such a meaningful way to honour the men and women who have served our country, and our guys took every moment in with genuine interest and respect.

But the best part? Those smiles. Every photo, every moment, every little interaction pure joy. You can see how much they loved exploring the exhibits, learning new things, and being part of something special. Days like this remind us why community outings matter so much: they create memories, spark conversations, and give our participants experiences that stay with them long after the day is over.

We absolutely love watching this seeing our crew engaged, happy, and proud. What a brilliant day for everyone involved.

Our Salisbury group enjoyed an absolutely wonderful day yesterday out at the stunning Morialta Falls, soaking up the sunshine, breathing in the fresh air, and making the most of everything nature has to offer. The moment they arrived, you could see the excitement they love being outdoors, exploring new places, and taking in the sights, sounds, and calm that comes with spending time in nature.

The team supported everyone to wander along the trails, enjoy the beautiful scenery, and take in the peaceful atmosphere. There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and moments of connection throughout the day. These outings are so important for wellbeing, confidence, and community engagement, and it’s always incredible to see how much joy our participants get from being active and exploring the world around them.

A huge thank you to our Salisbury staff for creating such a positive, uplifting experience. Days like this remind us why we do what we do supporting people to live full, meaningful, and adventurous lives.

What an incredible week it has been for Varl, filled with creativity, confidence, and plenty of fun. One of the highlights was watching him make his very own apple pie completely from scratch. From preparing the apples to rolling out the pastry, he took ownership of every step and poured so much care into the process. The end result looked absolutely amazing — golden, delicious, and made with genuine pride. Moments like these remind us how powerful it can be when participants are supported to try new things, build new skills, and enjoy the satisfaction of creating something with their own hands.

But the fun didn’t stop there. Varl also enjoyed a fantastic night out at Anastasia the Musical, and he had the best time soaking up the music, the story, and the atmosphere of the theatre. Outings like this are so important — they help build confidence, connection, and joy, and they give our participants the chance to experience the community in meaningful and exciting ways. Seeing Varl smiling, laughing, and fully immersed in the experience was a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do.

Our In‑Home Support Team is dedicated to creating moments just like these — moments filled with growth, independence, fun, and genuine human connection. We are incredibly proud of the work our staff do every day to support participants in living rich, fulfilling, and joyful lives.

Wow, what a wet and windy weekend that was across Adelaide. The kind of weather that makes you grateful for a warm home, a good cup of coffee, and a chance to slow down for a moment.

I’m very pleased to share some wonderful news and extend a warm welcome to Tammy, who has joined our Focus Team.

Tammy has stepped into our bookkeeping role, which includes payroll and a range of other essential financial responsibilities that keep our operations running smoothly. This is a critical position in our organisation, and we are fortunate to have someone with her depth of experience and professionalism taking it on.

Tammy brings with her many years of accounting expertise, having worked across a variety of financial environments. Her strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy will be invaluable as we continue strengthening our internal processes and ensuring our systems support the work we do every day.

In addition to her accounting background, Tammy also has hands-on experience as a Disability Support Worker. This combination of financial capability and frontline understanding is incredibly rare and deeply valuable. It means she not only understands the numbers behind our work, but also the people, the purpose, and the impact. That alignment with our mission will enrich our team and help us continue delivering high‑quality support to the individuals and communities we serve.
