50 Years & 20+ Kgs Lighter
With Spring kicking off this September, I’ve literally launched myself into attacking a goal this year since March, that I wasn’t sure I could accomplish.
And honestly… I didn’t know if I could get back here. Loosing weight, putting on muscle is bloody hard. And my body reminds me that I’m not in my 30’s on a daily basis 😂
Turning 50 this year, I needed to prove something to myself. Not that I needed to look like I did when I competed, but that I was still capable of getting myself back into shape, rebuild muscle, gain my strength back and get back into a regular gym routine.
Getting back into training has done as much for my headspace as it has for my body. No noise, no work pressure, or life.. just me, the weights and listening to music..
Finding therapy in my sessions, having something to work towards and simply getting back into a routine has made such a difference to my mental health. Everyday I’m so grateful for this opportunity.
But - I’m not going to pretend it’s been easy. It’s not 😂
It has been a daily grind for months. Some days have been great. Some days I’ve had absolutely no motivation. Sometimes I’m the biggest procrastinator you’ve ever met! I’m bloody hungry all the time. I get super tired too. But somewhere along the way, training stopped feeling like something I struggled with and now it’s the best part of my days.
The best bit.. getting amongst my gym community and training along side them. ♥️ The comradery, the banter & chats 🙌🏽 An endless thank you to my gym community 🙏🏽
So, with Summer only 12 weeks away 😬and if you haven’t got your sh*t together, but know you need to get your sh*t together 😂 It’s not too late to reach out!
If you don’t know where to start, or simply need someone to give you that extra push when you walk through the doors, or you’re looking for a peaceful gym place to train at.. that’s what my Powerhouse is here for.
See you soon! ☺️
