Meet See Differently’s newest pups!

Our newest puppies have arrived, the G & H litters are officially off on their next big adventure!

Please welcome Gatsby, Gemma, Harry, Hero, Hope and Hunter. Six very special pups who are now settling in with their Puppy Educators.

Over the next 12 months, they’ll be busy learning, growing and experiencing all the things that will help prepare them for formal training and, hopefully, a future supporting someone to live with greater independence.

For now, it’s all about confidence building, socialisation and plenty of learning along the way.

Welcome to the See Differently family, Gatsby, Gemma, Harry, Hero, Hope & Hunter! We can’t wait to watch you grow.

Helping Change The Conversation Around Assistive Technology

Following his appearance at our 2026 Guide Dog Graduation, our client and Client Advisory Committee Chair - Michael, was back on Channel 9 tonight to share how Meta Smart Glasses are helping him live more independently with vision loss.

From reading information and identifying objects to accessing hands-free assistance through Be My Eyes, technology like Ray-Ban Meta glasses can provide an additional layer of independence in everyday life.

Yet, Michael’s story is about more than technology, it’s about advocacy, awareness and making sure people living with vision loss have access to tools that can help them participate more independently in their communities.

A Positive Step For Accessibility

There are important conversations to have about privacy and the responsible use of recording technology. But it’s equally important that we recognise what smart glasses can make possible for people who are blind or living with low vision.

For many, smart glasses can provide another layer of independence — helping users read text, recognise people and objects, understand their surroundings and access information with greater confidence.

At See Differently, we’ve seen how emerging technology can open up new possibilities. Smart glasses aren’t simply about convenience or innovation; they can be about access, connection and independence.

We’re pleased to see the conversation continue in a way that recognises both the need for appropriate safeguards and the significant benefits this technology can offer our community. We welcome this week’s announcement that the federal government will not impose an import ban on smart glasses, as such a blanket ban would have had highly detrimental impact on the low vision and blind community.

Appreciation Post!

Love cricket? Here Is Your Chance To Represent SA!

South Australian Cricket Association is inviting blind and low vision cricketers to upcoming net sessions ahead of the 2027 National Cricket Inclusion Championships.

The sessions are open to new and experienced players, with a preferred minimum age of 15 for new players.
