Every workplace has a role to play in creating environments where people can stay safe, supported and connected.

This National Safe Work Month, we recognise the importance of practical support and education in preventing workplace injury and helping people navigate recovery and return to work.

gpex has partnered with ReturnToWorkSA (RTWSA) to design, develop and host a suite of evidence-based online education courses that support workers, employers, healthcare professionals and other key stakeholders involved in the return-to-work journey.

Through the RTWSA learning platform, gpex has created a dedicated digital learning environment that brings together courses, resources and support in one accessible location, helping participants find the education most relevant to their role.

Healthcare professionals dedicate their careers to caring for others. But making time to prioritise your own wellbeing is just as important.

gpex, in partnership with Western Queensland Primary Health Network (WQPHN), is bringing the Supporting Your Wellbeing workshop series across Western Queensland.

Facilitated by Dr Shaun Prentice and A/Prof Jill Benson AM, these interactive sessions are designed to help all primary healthcare professionals recognise the challenges that can impact wellbeing, identify early signs of burnout and explore practical strategies to support a sustainable and rewarding career.

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
- Understand a practical model about doctors’ wellbeing
- Identify early warning signs of burnout
- Create a personalised wellbeing plan
- Explore strategies for enhancing wellbeing supports within your workplace

These workshops provide an opportunity to step away from the demands of clinical practice, connect with peers and gain practical tools that can be applied both professionally and personally.

The CCE is getting closer. Is your preparation translating into performance?

At this stage, it’s not just about how many cases you’ve completed.

The exam requires you to apply your knowledge under pressure, explain your clinical reasoning, manage your time and maintain a clear, patient-centred consultation.

The gpex Dr CCE Performance program is designed to help you practise those skills before exam day through:
• Realistic CCE style cases
• Exam-like conditions
• Live educator led webinars
• A four-case mock exam
• Personalised, actionable feedback
• Practical strategies to strengthen your consultation structure and exam technique

Now is the time to identify the gaps in your performance and focus your remaining preparation where it matters most.

Don’t wait until exam day to find out what needs work.

Every day, 56 people in Australia are diagnosed with breast cancer.*

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we acknowledge the individuals and families affected by breast cancer and recognise the healthcare professionals, researchers and organisations working to improve outcomes and support better care.

The month provides an important opportunity to raise awareness, encourage conversations about breast health, and reinforce the role of early detection, screening and timely access to care.

Primary care has an important role to play in supporting prevention, encouraging participation in screening programs, recognising early signs and symptoms, and supporting people throughout their healthcare journey.

At gpex, we recognise the value of education in supporting healthcare professionals to deliver evidence-informed, patient-centred care. Through professional development and cancer screening education, we support primary healthcare professionals to build confidence, strengthen preventive health practices and support participation in recommended screening programs.

Together, we can continue to promote awareness, encourage early detection and support better outcomes for individuals and communities.

ADHD is a lifelong neurodevelopmental condition that affects people in different ways and at different stages of life. While ADHD may be associated with challenges relating to attention, organisation, impulsivity or emotional regulation, many individuals with ADHD also bring creativity, innovation, problem-solving skills and unique perspectives to their families, workplaces and communities.

During ADHD Awareness Month, we are reminded that understanding and support can make a meaningful difference.

Whether you are a family member, colleague, manager, teacher, carer or healthcare professional, simple actions can help create a more supportive and inclusive environment:
• Listen without judgement and be mindful that everyone's experience of ADHD is different
• Avoid assumptions or stereotypes about what ADHD "looks like"
• Provide clear communication and realistic expectations
• Recognise strengths as well as challenges
• Be patient and flexible when appropriate
• Encourage individuals to access support and resources that meet their needs

At gpex, we recognise the importance of ongoing education in supporting person-centred, inclusive care. Through gpex onesite, we provide professional development opportunities that support healthcare professionals to strengthen communication skills, build confidence and respond to the diverse needs of the communities they serve.

The loss of a pregnancy or baby is an experience that stays with families forever. For many parents, there are birthdays not celebrated, milestones not reached, and a love that continues long after loss. While every family's experience is unique, the impact of loss can be so profound and enduring.

During Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, we acknowledge the babies who are no longer here, the parents and families who love and remember them, and the significant emotional, physical and psychological impact that pregnancy and infant loss can have.

Compassionate care matters. The words we choose, the support we offer, and the way we listen can make a lasting difference to women, partners and families navigating grief and loss.

Through the South Australian GP Obstetric Shared Care Program, managed by gpex on behalf of SA Health, GPs, midwives, obstetricians and maternity services work together to support women and families throughout pregnancy and beyond, including during times of loss, bereavement and future pregnancies.

This month, we stand with all those who have experienced pregnancy or infant loss and acknowledge their journey.

Not sure how you’re tracking with your CCE preparation?

Sometimes another practice case isn’t what you need. You need someone experienced to watch how you perform and show you exactly where to focus next.

The gpex CCE One-on-One Practice Session with a Medical Educator gives you 75 minutes of targeted, individual support.

You’ll complete 2 timed CCE-style cases:
• One clinical encounter
• One case discussion

Then receive personalised feedback on your clinical reasoning, communication, consultation structure, exam technique, time management and pacing.

It’s designed for candidates who have started their preparation but want clearer direction, objective feedback and practical strategies they can apply.

Know what’s working. Know what to improve. Start your preparation with a clearer plan.

Knowing what to do is one thing. Being able to demonstrate it clearly, calmly and within the CCE format is another.

The gpex Dr CCE Performance program gives candidates the opportunity to practise in realistic, exam-like conditions, including a small-group mock exam featuring four CCE-style cases.

You’ll experience the pressure of a timed case, learn by observing other candidates and receive personalised feedback from experienced medical educators.

The program also combines:
• Self-paced CCE preparation modules
• A bank of practice cases
• 3 live educator-led case webinars
• A live check-in between exam dates
• A realistic four-case mock exam

Because confidence on exam day doesn’t come from memorising more cases. It comes from having a structure you know how to apply under pressure.
