"I fell off the wagon".
That's what my client told me on our open coaching call yesterday morning.
And then she said
"So I didn't come to our group coaching calls for a while... I felt I didn't deserve to be here."
Here's what I said to her:
Of course you fell off the wagon, sweetheart.
You're *supposed* to fall off the wagon.
You're not expected to be perfect.
In fact, it wouldn't serve you if you were.
That's not what this journey is about.
Women are so hard on themselves.
They feel like they're meant to learn something and then do it perfectly every single day for the rest of their lives and never fail!
But it's not like that.
Analogy for you:
I'm a s**t dancer.
But I'd like to be a good one.
If I entered a salsa competition tomorrow, I wouldn't win it.
It would take me YEARS to learn and perfect the dance moves.
If I mess up the dance moves while I'm learning, it doesn't mean I should give up and I should stay away and I don't deserve to go to lessons,
It just means I'm still learning.
My women in the Radiant Health Reset (my 6 month program where we understand the source of our health issues and symptoms and we take rapid action towards optimal health) are learning the dance moves.
And when you're learning dance moves, sometimes you fall over.
So, what do you do?
You pick yourself up and you keep going. You could ask for support to master something.
At this stage of the game, the stumble IS the dance.
You're not meant to learn something one day and have it mastered the next.
I never worry about Radiant Health Reset members falling off the wagon. I actually get excited for them!
The reason I get excited is because it's always the most wonderful opportunity for learning.
My Radiant Health Reset women can take use a stumble as a chance to observe what's going on in their mind and their body...
AND, they have the great advantage of contrast...
They've already had a taste of what it's like to feel radiantly healthy... (we achieve this in the first few weeks... significantly improved detox, headaches/migraines resolved, restful sleep, more energy, clarity, reduced brain fog...!)
And that reference point is forever etched into their mind and their body.
So when they go off the wagon, they FEEL it.
They feel it physically. They feel it mentally.
And they know EXACTLY what they need to do to get back to feeling radiant.
So stumbling, or falling off the wagon, is the best learning.
Contrast is our greatest teacher.
Once you have reference points, you have contrast, and you can compare.
"I used to feel like THIS, and I liked it. It felt good....
Now I feel like THIS. But I want to feel the good way again".
So I never worry about my RHR women. Because they have contrast, they have reference points, they have a framework, they have support.
They have me, they have a system to follow, and they have the community.
Back to my client.
The one who said she fell off the wagon, so she took a break from our coaching calls because she felt she didn't deserve to be there.
I said to her, sweetheart, let me tell you how this works.
YOU pay ME. Not the other way around.
You pay me for the system I give you that makes this easy.
You pay me for coaching and support.
You pay me to give you a framework that holds you up when you fall.
That's how this exchange works.
If I was paying YOU, it would look different.
But that's not how this transaction works.
You pay, and you receive.
The only thing I expect of you, is that you show up in alllll your imperfection.
I'm literally HERE for the ones who fall over.
I'm here for the ones who fall off the wagon.
I don't care how many times you fall off.
I'll still be here!
You could fall off the wagon a thousand times in a week.
I don't care.
It only matters to me that you get back on, and that you learn in the process.
(And that you practice showing yourself compassion).
Years ago, a woman wanted to see me in my clinic and her husband said no. You can't go and see that Tori woman. You fall off the wagon too much.
I said to her, love, that's what my whole business is built on.
Teaching you how to fall off the wagon and get back on quickly.
Because nobody's perfect. Nobody stays on the wagon all the time.
Not even me!
I personally fall off the wagon, too. Admittedly not very often but that's because I've been practicing a long time.
There are some things that don't tempt me (alcohol, smoking),
And there are things that do (sugar).
If I fall off the wagon, I'm straight back on and I don't beat myself up.
Anyway, that woman never came to see me.
She believed her husband.
She believed that if she is someone who has ever fallen off the wagon, then she doesn't deserve a chance to practice with support.
I often think about that lovely woman and how much she would have benefitted from my Radiant Health method and the framework I provide.
I don't care how many times my clients fall off the wagon.
What matters to me is that you pick yourself up and you get back on.
So what's IS the wagon?
The wagon is living a life that's aligned with our biology... In harmony with what our body needs to be nourished and to thrive.
That's the wagon.
We fall off because we live in a modern world with many temptations and many misalignments. And because we use food as a tool for our emotional struggles.
But we have programs like the Radiant Health Reset that help us realign with what is best for our biology.
And that's what I'm here for.
You don't need to deserve your way in.
You just need to promise to show up.
If you want to know what the Radiant Health Reset involves and be waitlisted for the next time we open the doors, comment RADIANT or DM me and I'll send you the details.
