Cycling Without Age - Adelaide

We are sad to report that last night one of our trishaws was stolen from our storage facility in Brompton. These trishaws are funded through generous community donations, and they give Cycling Without Age participants the opportunity to get outside and experience our beautiful Parklands, River Torrens and visit the Zoo. We are devastated to have lost a crucial asset in delivering this service. Please share this post, and anyone with information or who has seen it please contact SAPOL.

South Australia's Week of Ageing Well begins on 1 October every year. It is an opportunity to celebrate the diversity, strengths and contributions of South Australians of all ages and to reflect on how we can all support people to age well.

This year’s theme - "Building Age Friendly, Connected Communities" - highlights how small everyday actions encourage safety, belonging and connection, reducing loneliness for everyone.

We are offering Trishaw rides from Bonython Park on Monday October 5 and Thursday October 8 between 10 and 12 and then from 1 till 3 each day.

You can find out more by visiting SA’s Week of Ageing Well website: https://dhs.sa.gov.au/how-we-help/ageing-well/promoting-ageing-well/south-australias-week-of-ageing-well/calendar/events/cycling-without-age-assisted-bike-ride

Lucky us being recognised by Life FM Adelaide

Today the Life FM Roadies had the pleasure of presenting the Heart for Adelaide Award to Cycling Without Age - Adelaide! Thanking them for their passion in providing elderly people and those with physical limitations, the experience and joy of cycling. The team's heart to help and relieve social isolation and loneliness is commendable. Through a simple bike ride outing, their team bless those in the community immensely as the passengers continue to engage in fun, friendship and fresh air!
