The social media ban/delay certainly seems to be hitting the social media spaces! I note that the intent is about protecting young people and families from the affects of social media in terms of developmental stressors, relationships but particularly has been in response to abuse, bullying, and the exposure of young people to adult content, experience and the magnification and access of bullying behavious both intentional and unintentional. Despite the arguents for or against the ban we have to deal with the transition. Any change brings about loss and grief.
At ANDFT we are here to help. There is going to be all kinds of pressures on families for work arounds, and those presures may be debilitating. But lets take a moment to think of the young people who may be hurting and assisting them in the journey of loss.
