Caring for others is important, but so is making time for yourself.

Whether it’s enjoying a hobby or taking a moment to recharge, make space for the things you enjoy.

This might mean planning a small pocket of time in the week, asking someone you trust to step in for a short while, or choosing an activity that is easy to pick up and put down. It could be listening to music while making dinner, reading a few pages before bed, doing something creative or spending time outside. The important thing is that it feels like yours, not another task on the list.

Did you know, around 1 in 45 Australians are living with a brain injury, and almost 3 in 4 of these are people aged under 65?

The purpose of Brain Injury Awareness Week is to raise awareness and celebrate the strength of the community - from those living with brain injury, family members, friends, carers, health and community professionals, and other supporters.

Earlier this week, we had the privilege of sponsoring Brain Injury SA’s Stronger Together event and connecting with the community.

We all play a role in sharing experiences, offering support and fostering a common understanding and sense of belonging.
