Meet Helen – one of our inspiring educators 🌟

Helen is an Educator at ANMEC who loves working alongside students as they build confidence, self‑belief, and a strong understanding of their nursing skills.

Her favourite part of the role is helping students truly see their own potential and bringing creativity into the classroom. For Helen, there’s always a new way to learn, grow, and try something different!

Fun fact: Before teaching, Helen worked in a designer hat factory in central London – and one of her daily jobs was walking the owner’s lap dog around the city!

We’re excited to share that the ANMEC, in collaboration with The Action Learning Institute (ALI) and Kalyra, have been named finalists in the Capacity Building category at the ITAC Awards among hundreds of applicants!

This recognition highlights our innovative joint pilot program delivering the CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) through a workplace-based learning and assessment model.

This initiative directly responds to critical challenges in aged care, including workforce shortages, the need for rapid upskilling, and barriers to traditional training. By embedding learning into daily practice and focusing on person-centred projects, learners engage deeply with client preferences and lived experiences, ensuring training is practical, meaningful, and industry-aligned.

We’re incredibly proud to be part of a project that is shaping the future of workforce development in aged care.

If you’ve been greeted with a warm smile at ANMEC, chances are you’ve met Shelley ✨

Shelley works in our Concierge team, welcoming students and visitors, answering enquiries, and supporting the entire ANMEC team with a wide range of administrative tasks. She also looks after applications and enrolments for our face‑to‑face CPD courses, helping students start their learning journey with confidence.

Her favourite part of the job? Connecting with students, helping people find the answers they need, and cheering students on as they graduate and step into exciting new adventures.

Fun fact: Shelley spent two years travelling around Australia in a camper with her husband – seeing incredible places and discovering just how amazing our country really is.
