To our BSF Family…
This is the hardest post we’ve ever had to write. 💔
Starting out as that little corner supplement shop back in 2014, we never imagined we’d see 12 incredible years in an industry dominated by massive players. As the independent underdogs, we took on the giants, weathered every storm, and built a community we couldn’t be prouder of. We were blessed to share in your journeys—watching so many of you smash fitness goals, transform your health, and grow as people.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce Bigger Stronger Faster is officially closing its doors, and passing the torch at our location to another group dedicated to the health and fitness space.
Trust us—this hurts. Deeply.
This wasn’t a decision made lightly or overnight. We’ve fought, adapted, and pivoted time and time again. But the reality is, independent retail in Australia is facing a perfect storm we simply can no longer weather:
Shifting Trends & "Convenience": The industry has radically changed. Algorithms and social feeds have pushed the market toward cheap convenience, endless stock, and impulse buys over real education, product knowledge, and tailored protocols.
Brands Cutting Out the Little Guy: Many of the very brands that small independents like us built from the ground up have turned their backs—flooding supermarkets, big-box chemists, and discount warehouse chains with pricing structures an independent store could never sustainably match.
The Economic Reality: Rising commercial overheads, a brutal cost-of-living crisis hitting households, and zero meaningful relief for small businesses have made operating in Australia harder than ever. Small business used to be the backbone of this country; today, working your arse off feels punished rather than rewarded.
What breaks our hearts the most isn't just closing our doors—it’s knowing what our community loses.
A supermarket shelf can’t answer your questions. An algorithm doesn't care about your health goals. A discount website won't tell you to save your money on a supplement and fix your nutrition or sleep first. From Day 1, our foundation was built on people over profit—giving honest, expert advice even when it meant talking you out of a sale.
To every single person who walked through our doors, shook our hands, trusted our guidance, and supported us over the last 12 years: Thank you. You turned a little shop in Mawson Lakes into a real family, and we will carry those memories forever.
