L'Arche Adelaide

L'Arche Adelaide We were drawn together by a common vision of establishing community for people with and without intellectual disability in Adelaide.

L’Arche is an international federation of faith communities where people with and without an intellectual disability share life together. A group of people interested in starting a L’Arche community in Adelaide first met in January 2013. We were drawn together by a common vision of establishing community for people with and without intellectual disability. In mid 2015 L’Arche Adelaide officially b

ecame an incorporated body under the banner of L’Arche Australia. We are accorded project status by L’Arche International. We value the support of St Francis of Assisi Anglican Church, Clarence Gardens. Community gatherings are held regularly; our community weekend occurs every January. You’re welcome to attend gatherings, become a community supporter and/or volunteer. For more information about L'Arche Adelaide, please see our web page for contact details.

“Walking Together" is a beautiful opportunity for L’Arche communities to get together and celebrate all that L’Arche is, as well as raise some money for communities in need.
L’Arche Adelaide invites you to our "Walking Together" event:
When: Saturday 12th September at 11.00am - 1:00pm.
Where: Meet up at Victoria Park (just in front of the heritage listed grandstand), cnr of Wakefield Rd and Fullarton Rd
RSVP: Thursday 10th September to [email protected]
We will be walking around the Park’s footpath circuit (as many laps as you like). Bring your water bottle and hat. Wear some bright colours! After the walk, we will have something to eat at the Kiosk Lola (near the grandstand). You are welcome to invite family & friends along.
If you would like to, there will be an opportunity to donate towards L'Arche Mymensingh, Bangladesh’s Community Complex Project. The project will provide a new three-storey accessible community complex. It will bring together services and activities currently operating from rented spaces into an owned facility. This will help reduce long-term operating costs while improving the living and day-program conditions for core members and assistants.

Many thanks to Phil Billington, Chair, L'Arche Australia Board for her fantastic tour of the exhibition, and to David Baker, our Art Project Facilitator for videoing the tour.

Art has always played an important role in the lives of the L'Arche Adelaide community. In 2025 we were privileged to receive a substantial donation from a very supportive donor. Our community decided to use this donation to develop an art project that would lead to exhibiting the artwork and storie...

We would love for you to visit Ballara during August, support the artists and enjoy the fantastic work on display! More details will be shared soon.
