Global Running Day – Movement & Heart Health
As part of Global Running Day, it’s a reminder that regular physical activity can play an important role in supporting long term heart health.

Before starting or increasing physical activity, especially if you have a heart condition or health concerns, it’s important to speak with your GP or healthcare professional about what is safe and appropriate for you. Activities such as walking, jogging and running can help support cardiovascular fitness, blood pressure, cholesterol levels and overall wellbeing.

Regular movement, combined with healthy lifestyle habits and routine health checks, can make a meaningful difference in reducing cardiovascular risk over time. Whether it’s going for a run, a walk or simply finding more ways to stay active throughout the week, small steps can all contribute to better heart health.

The Heart Foundation provides helpful information on physical activity and exercise to support heart health and overall wellbeing: πŸ‘‰ https://loom.ly/mCd2ONE

If you have concerns about your heart health, speaking with your GP is the first step.

World Heart Rhythm Week – Understanding Heart Rhythm Conditions
As part of World Heart Rhythm Week, we’re raising awareness of heart rhythm conditions, also known as arrhythmias.

An arrhythmia occurs when the heart beats too fast, too slowly or irregularly. Some people may experience symptoms such as palpitations, dizziness, shortness of breath, chest discomfort or fatigue, while others may have no obvious symptoms at all.

If you are experiencing symptoms or have concerns about your heart rhythm, speaking with your GP is the first step.

One of the most common heart rhythm conditions is atrial fibrillation (AF), which can increase the risk of complications such as stroke if left untreated.

Early assessment and appropriate monitoring can play an important role in diagnosing and managing heart rhythm conditions. Healthdirect Australia provides further information about arrhythmias, symptoms and when to seek medical advice: πŸ‘‰ https://loom.ly/CiClS-0
